VIDEO: Facebook Goes Public, Projected To Raise Five Billion

What does Pam think?

Wow, I wish I had some extra cash to purchase FB stock. When will Al Gore claim that he had something to do with its inception?

Sugar 'is toxic and must be regulated just like cigarettes', claim scientists

Sugar is a poison and its sale should be as tightly regulated as cigarettes and alcohol, scientists say. They warn that sugary foods and drinks are responsible for illnesses including obesity, heart disease, cancer and liver problems. And they claim it contributes to 35million deaths a year worldwide and is so dangerous it should be controlled through taxation and legislation…
What does Pam think?

You know what else contributes to death? Rock climbing, hang gliding and other "extreme" sports. When will lefties demand that these activities also be regulated because people might die or become terribly injured while doing them? And let's not forget time. Given enough time, everyone dies. Let's regulate time too, while w're at it!

VIDEO: FED UP! Private citizen begins taking down 'occupy DC' tents. Scuffle ensued.

What does Pam think?

More evidence of peaceful protesters! Can we give this guy a medal? At least he's not afraid to show his face, unlike some of those occupiers who feel the need to hide behind bandanas.

VIDEO: CNN Sympathizes With Another DREAM Act Supporter

What does Pam think?

Why don't these people ever blame their own parents for coming here illegally and putting them in this position? I'd say her parents are the ones who messed with her life more than US immigration laws.

VIDEO: Atheists Lose Battle Over WW II Veterans' Jesus Statue Atop Montana Mountain

In a significant victory for religious liberty, the Flathead National Forest announced today that it would in fact renew the Knights of Columbus special use permit for the display of a statue of Jesus Christ. The statue, which was placed there as a World War II memorial by returning veterans, is located on a 25 foot by 25 foot parcel of land near the top of Chair Two at Whitefish Mountain Resort. The National Forest Service received more than 95,000 comments on the matter; 70,000 of those comments came from ACLJ members. After being in place for nearly 60 years and becoming a local historic landmark, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) – an atheist group that is attempting to strip all mentions of faith from public discourse – protested the display of the statue. The group called the Montana memorial "a ruse and a sham" and demanded the National Forest Service end a long-standing permit- a move that would force the display to be removed. The government initially agreed with FFRF and denied renewal of the special use permit, but agreed to review that decision after public outcry and the ACLJ’s involvement...
What does Pam think?

You know, if these militant atheists could have their druthers, the rest of us would be forced to conduct religious services in whispers in dark basements rather than "offend" them with the sight of a church, synagogue or what have you.

VIDEO: Anarchists, Commies & "Tent Monster!"- Fitting Last Day of Occupy DC

What does Pam think?

I don't know about you, but I just love the guy dancing around with the tent around his neck. Not just a bunch of college hipsters and homeless people, eh? Well, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then this video is about as many words as War and Peace.

Before We Thank Iran's Tanker Fleet...

With sanctions currently the U.S. tool of choice for thwarting Iran’s terror networks and nuclear ambitions, the good news is that U.S. lawmakers are crafting new measures to cast a wider net. Let’s hope that this time they don’t leave a hole big enough for an Iranian oil tanker to sail right through. Make that a fleet of oil tankers. Despite the many sanctions now targeting Iran’s regime, and bedeviling Iran’s national merchant fleet, the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), Iran’s main tanker fleet has so far remained exempt. If the aim is to contain and pressure Iran’s regime, this is no small omission. Iran’s main tanker fleet is owned by a company called NITC, formerly the National Iranian Tanker Company…
What does Pam think?

The NITC may be a privately-owned company on paper, but its associations with Iran's government, including many of its high ranking employees, should scream "Sanctions!" to Congress. Congress, are you paying attention?

VIDEO: College admits to inflating SAT scores for rankings

What does Pam think?

Amazing - I thought only major corporations lied, cheated and misled their customers. I didn't think universities, those bastions of civilized discourse, would do the same as the nasty 1%.
