I'm not going to be popular for this, but I agree with the airline. If Jerry Meekins were not a veteran - and one terminally ill at that - this would not be getting the amount of attention it is. I feel for Meekins and appreciate his service to our nation, but he chose not to purchase the insurance that would have given him the refund. The rest of us would have to suck it up - why not him?
