President Trump's Historical Speech to Arab Leaders: Drive the Terrorists "Out of This Earth"

May 22, 2017

In his first major address abroad President Trump talked about combating terrorism and confronting extremist ideology. He spoke at the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh. In his remarks, the president sought to strengthen U.S. cooperation with allied countries in the Middle East, stressing that his administration would not tell people how to live, what to be, or who to worship, but rather to offer partnership. He said the U.S. was prepared to stand with the Middle East, but the region cannot wait for American powers to defeat the enemies. He also outlined the U.S. approach, saying his administration would be guided by lessons of experience and not rigid thinking or sudden interventions.(C-SPAN)
