Bush discusses postpresidential life and his work at the Bush Institute in an interview with the Hoover Institution. “I think it’s bad for the presidency to have former presidents bloviating, opining, telling people how it ought to be done,” Bush said. “I really don’t want to be in the public eye any more and feel a certain sense of liberation not being out there.”
