Public Diplomacy

Communication between governments and foreign publics designed to increase mutual appreciation and respect. Public diplomacy programs include professional and educational exchanges, international art and business exhibitions, and the cross-border transfer of cultural goods, such as music, television, news, and movies, through either broadcast or the transfer of hardware.
