Al Qaeda
Terrorist organization founded during the Soviet-Afghan War of the 1980’s and led by Osama Bin Laden. Al Qaeda is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, the 2000 attack on the USS Cole, the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in Africa, and the first attack upon the World Trade Center in 1993.
