The Saudis' Latest Double Game?

President Trump met earlier this week with the Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Bin Salman. The 31-year-old prince, widely known as MBS, is billed as a modernizing figure and putative ally of the United States.
After the meeting though, an MBS advisor told Bloomberg News what transpired. This was one of his more alarming claims: "President Trump has an unprecedented and serious intention to work with the Muslim World and to achieve its interests and...Prince Mohammed considers his Excellency as a true friend of Muslims who will serve the Muslim World in an unimaginable manner...."
If this statement accurately describes President Trump's position - which seems highly unlikely - it would constitute a bait-and-switch on his voters of epic proportions. If, on the other hand, this claim of abject submission is not true, Mr. Trump must set the Saudis straight, immediately.
