Transgendered Kids? Are you sure?

by MISCHA POPOFF February 15, 2012
If you didn’t know your kids were being exposed to all the graphic detail of a triple-X pornography movie at school, where the heck have you been? It’s not enough to teach kids who still believe in the Easter Bunny about same-sex couples; it’s vital, so the experts say, that our kids know WHAT these same-sex couples do in the privacy of their bedrooms.

How does it even qualify as education to teach someone who isn’t old enough to have sex about every possible way they COULD have sex?

As if this wasn’t troubling enough, the leaders of B.C.’s and Ontario’s education systems have also decided to teach kids they might be transgendered. You heard right. Kids who haven’t reached puberty are being taught that when they DO reach puberty, they might actually be headed in the wrong direction and will require thousands of dollars’ worth of hormone therapy followed by hundreds-of-thousands of dollars’ worth of surgery.

I know some transgendered people; they can attest that this is a huge mistake. Kids aren’t sexual beings, and raising the question of whether a girl is really a boy trapped in a girl’s body or vice-versa is like asking whether a candle is AC or DC.

But, alas, unfettered by commonsense, the proponents of transgenderism argue that a couple kids out of a thousand might face some degree of confusion over their gender, and hence argue that therefore our publicly funded education systems must teach our kids – all of ’em – that they might really be members of the opposite sex.

What the transgenderists have failed to demonstrate is that the number of kids they end up needlessly confusing isn’t greater than the number of kids they believe they help. They freely admit that most of the kids they’ve encouraged to live as members of the opposite sex for as long as a decade actually wind up abandoning the whole idea of gender re-assignment (sex change) once they enter their teens. So why bother? What guarantee is there that some kids won’t continue with gender re-assignment only to realize before it’s too late they ARE NOT trapped in the wrong body?

There’s also the risk of creating false positives through the use of hormone blockers. These drugs are prescribed to delay the actualization of whichever gender a child was born with, and they’re freely given to any kids who express some degree of “confusion” over their gender. No safety net, except of course for the usual morass of government paperwork.

How do the “experts” even begin to guarantee that once the onset of a child’s gender is delayed through the pharmaceutical disruption of that kid’s hormones, AND that child’s living as a member of the opposite sex, that the kid won’t become permanently misguided and actually convince himself he’s trapped in the wrong body? What measures could be taken, even in theory, to ensure that these therapies don’t become self-fulfilling prophecies?

Transgenderism is impossible to provide counseling for unless the counselor is a proponent thereof. As such you can rest assured it will indeed become a self-fulfilling prophecy, the costs of which will be borne by the rest of society no matter how the rest of us feel about the merits of transgenderism.

And we know this because of the dirty little secret that no one in the transgenderist community ever talks about. people who’ve gone all the way through with gender-reassignment surgery only to realize after it’s too late that they and everyone who supported them on their journey to “self-discovery” were dead wrong.

In such cases, there is no recourse, neither medical nor social, that can rectify the massive and abominable error; just more paperwork.

Let’s face it, believing people are born with the wrong gender makes about as much sense as believing we could be born with the wrong race. So, why are our kids being exposed to this?

Occupy Chicago freakout: The LRAD is coming, the LRAD is coming!

May 21, 2012  00:57 AM

Here is an LRAD. It’s a Long Range Acoustic Device better known as a sound cannon and it’s used to disperse unruly crowds. Here is an Occupy Chicago freakout over the LRAD (led by the same livestreamer who freaked out last night over a brief police stop): Two #LRAD s spotted heading to march.— Tim [...]

Michael Moore spreads hysterical, anti-police fable from his Occupy comrades

May 21, 2012  00:37 AM

The crockumentary film-maker should have read Twitchy first. As we told you Saturday night, the trio of Occupy Chicago livestreamers who freaked out over a brief, Chicago police pullover didn’t have their apartment raided, didn’t have any of their equipment damaged, were not “held at gunpoint,” and had none of their high-priced cameras, phones, and [...]

May 20, 2012  11:09 PM

Mother Nature is Chicago law enforcement’s best friend. Tonight, the rabble-rousers’ plans for anarchy got spoiled by rain. Twitter had fun as the Occupiers and their fearless livestream crews ran for cover, while a few of the mobsters hung around to harass officers on duty and break out in senseless chants: Fkin Streamers afraid of [...]
