Sheriff Arpaio - ‘I Suspect a Forgery.’ Now what?

At a March 1, 2012 press conference, Arizona's Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said:
 
"President Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House on April 27, 2011, is suspected to be a computer-generated forgery, not a scan of an original 1961 paper document as represented by the White House when the long-form birth certificate was made public."
 
In addition, the Arpaio report stated that Obama's Selective Service card was most likely also a forgery and the records of the Immigration and Naturalization Service cards filled out by airplane passengers arriving on international flights originating outside the United States for the week of President Obama's birth, including the dates Aug. 1, 1961 through Aug. 7, 1961 are inexplicably missing from the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
 
Ready, aim, shoot the messenger.
 
Implementing the politics of personal destruction, the mainstream media has led the charge, first to discredit Arpaio and then to ignore the evidence.
 
Most of the mainstream media simply regurgitates the opinions of the news outlets Associated Press and Reuters.
 
The first sentence of the AP article says:
 
“America's self-proclaimed toughest sheriff finds himself entangled these days in his own thorny legal troubles: a federal grand jury probe over alleged abuse of power, Justice Department accusations of racial profiling and revelations that his department didn't adequately investigate hundreds of Arizona sex-crime cases.”
 
Reuters begins its report:
 
“A tough-talking Arizona sheriff, already embroiled in a Justice Department bias investigation, waded deeper into controversy on Thursday with an assertion that a probe by his office found President Barack Obama's birth certificate was a forgery.”
 
Following the lead of AP and Reuters, CBS, NBC and ABC interspersed their own reports of the press conference with efforts to discount the evidence of an Obama felony by discrediting Arpaio. 
 
“The publicity-hungry Arpaio…The 79-year-old Arpaio, who has been accused by the Justice Department of racial profiling and who is being probed by a federal grand jury over potential abuse of power… Arpaio has also been criticized for allegedly inadequately investigating hundreds of sex crimes cases…Arpaio's probe comes amid a federal grand jury investigation into the sheriff's office on criminal abuse-of-power allegations since at least December 2009… the U.S. Justice Department has accused Arpaio's office of racially profiling Latinos… Critics also have sought Arpaio's resignation over allegations that more than 400 sex-crimes cases over a three-year period ending in 2007 were either inadequately investigated or weren't investigated at all… Arpaio faces a federal grand jury investigation on criminal abuse-of-power allegations; the Justice Department has accused him of racial profiling Latinos. And there has been an accusation that hundreds of sex-crime cases were inadequately investigtated (sic) by his department.”
 
The singular raison d'être of the mainstream media has been, for a long time, to protect the political interests of the Democratic Party.
 
Unfortunately, the Democratic Party of today bears no resemblance to the one I remember from my youth in a blue collar New Jersey neighborhood.
 
It has been hijacked by left-wing ideologues who will say anything, do anything, right or wrong to enhance their power even at the expense of democracy and the rule of law.
 
Consequently, the American people are now in a Cold War to force a corrupt political-media machine to adhere to the Constitution, restore representative government and save the Republic.
 
The Democrat and Republican establishments and the mainstream media will do anything within their power to bury the evidence because they have a clear vested interest in doing so.  Revealing the full truth about public figures would drive a stake into the heart of a hopelessly corrupt political system.
 
It would, furthermore, expose the American media for being little more than the propaganda arm of extreme left-wing Democrats promoting the goal of a de facto one-party state for the U.S., reminiscent of the role played by the Communist Party newspaper Pravda in propping up the dysfunctional Soviet Union.
 
Fully vetting our country’s top politicians will be a giant step in the right direction.
