Five Sept. 11 Suspects to Face Trial in New York

The Obama administration has announced it will try 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and other 9-11 Gitmo detainees in a civilian federal court in New York, allowing them the protections of the U.S. Constitution even though they are not U.S. citizens.

Do you agree with this?

Yes, Barack Obama really is a Manchurian candidate
 David Kupelian, WorldNetDaily.com

"If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide." – Abraham Lincoln

As Election Day rapidly approaches, many Americans are wondering why so many of their countrymen reject a genuine war hero with decades of experience, one whose pro-life, limited-government values pretty much reflect those of Middle America. Instead, these same countrymen are enthralled with a man who not only has no experience or qualifications for the job, but who is, in fact, the most radically left-wing major-party presidential candidate of our lifetime, having been mentored and supported for decades by terrorists (Ayers), communists (Davis), America-hating racists (Wright) and criminals (Rezko).

Doesn't make much sense, does it?

After all, in past presidential contests, Americans have flatly rejected ultraliberal candidates like McGovern, Mondale and Dukakis – and those guys weren't nearly as radicalized as Obama, who the nonpartisan National Journal rates as having the most left-wing voting record in the entire U.S. Senate – even more so than socialist Bernie Sanders! Moreover, recently it's been proven, despite his campaign's denials, that Obama was indeed a member of the socialist "New Party." And Obama himself confesses that during his college days he intentionally sought out Marxists as friends.

So, how do we explain all this? Read article.

The First Time I Heard of Barack
Tom Fife, America's Revival.com

During the period of roughly February 1992 to mid 1994, I was making frequent trips to Moscow, Russia, in the process of starting a software development joint-venture company with some people from the Russian scientific community.

One evening, during a trip early in 1992, the American half of our venture were invited to V. & T.'s Moscow flat as we were about to return to the States. The party went well and we had the normal dinner discussions.

As the evening wore on, T. developed a decidedly rough anti-American edge.

The bottom line of the tirade she started against the United States went something like this:

"What if I told you that you will have a black president very soon and he will be a Communist?"

The out-of-the-blue remark was met by our stares. She continued, "Well, you will; and he will be a Communist."

It was then that the husband unsuccessfully tried to change the subject; but she was on a roll and would have nothing of it. One of us asked, "It sounds like you know something we don't know." Read article.

Not Your Grandfather’s Democrats!
JB Williams, NMJ.us

There are only three types of Obama/Biden supporters and the evidence is now conclusive that none of them are your grandfather’s Democrats!

1) The hate-filled anti-American Democratic Socialist base of today’s DNC

2) Folks that still vote Democrat because their grandfather did

3) Folks who watch too much left-wing television

In the last couple weeks, Obama has let the cat out of the bag. His life-long mentoring from communist community organizers like Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky, Williams Ayers and Rev. Wright is out in the open.

Obama’s socialist plan for massive central power, supposedly authorized by the voters, to confiscate the private property of some citizens in order to purchase the votes of others, with visions of dancing sugar-plums, is now the centerpiece of his entire campaign.

And Biden let the nation know that Obama’s “hit the rich” tax scheme is not really reserved for the super-wealthy. Yet many Americans still intend to vote for a man they know almost nothing about.

·         He has never proven his US citizenship, and he won’t. Why?

·         His Occidental, Columbia and Harvard records remain under lock and key. Why?

·         He has evaded questions about every known associate in his past. Why?

·         More than $200 million in foreign campaign contributions is secret. Why?

Barack Obama has no executive experience and is only a freshman senator with no accomplishments on his empty résumé, and this isn’t the half of it! Read article.

What's Wrong With a Marxist?
Bob Lonsberry.com

In 2001, Barack Obama said he saw aspects of Nazi Germany in American society and government.

He also said the U.S. Constitution was fundamentally flawed.

And that he was disappointed that the Supreme Court had not ordered federally administered financial equality as part of the civil rights movement.

He also called for a political coalition to be formed that would force “redistributive” policies on the American people – using the power of government to equalize wealth across the society.

In 2008, that political coalition is about to take power.

It’s called Obama ’08.

And more surprising than the fact that a candidate for American president should harbor these political views is that nearly half the people in the country don’t see any problem with them. The fact he holds such anti-American views is attributable to his own particular history and values. The fact tens of millions of people can be taken in by such views is attributable to a social and educational system that has failed to teach a love of country and an understanding of its unique history and values.

Unfortunately, we have raised a generation – and a candidate – steeped in Karl Marx instead of John Locke. Read article.

Obama's Dangerous Alignments
Ken Blackwell, Townhall.com

Last week an enemy of the United States spoke out and endorsed an American presidential candidate – Senator Barack Obama. Taken with other recent developments, voters should be deeply disturbed with this embrace of Mr. Obama’s campaign to become the U.S. commander- in-chief.

Ali Larijani is the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, and was Iran’s representative to the United Nations who kept that international body from taking action regarding Iran’s program to expand its nuclear capabilities. On October 22, Speaker Larijani said that the regime in Iran would like to see Mr. Obama elected president.

Mr. Larijani is not the first hostile foreign leader to endorse or be aligned with Mr. Obama. In April, top Hamas advisor Ahmed Yousef also endorsed Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama’s long-time associate and self-described Marxist, Bill Ayers, actively backs him. Mr. Obama’s mentor and two-decade long spiritual leader, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, traveled to Libya to meet with the controversial Moammar Gadhafi. His church published a pro-Hamas piece on Rev. Wright’s “Pastor’s Page.” The article defended terrorism against Israel and denied Israel’s right to exist. Read article.

Marching toward a dark river
Wesley Pruden, JWR.com

Since the Obama phenomenon has no precedent in American politics, we must look to folk tales to understand it.

How could a man with no record, no experience, no known convictions and no known core beliefs so mesmerize the millions to turn themselves, their children and their country over to a man armed only with neatly pressed pants, a good shoeshine and a seductive voice? We don't even get the salesman's smile.

The Pied Piper of Hyde Park is clearly the direct descendant of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Both share the gift of what a fully credentialed psychology professor calls "a unique ability to identify with children." The early piper lured the children of Hamelin to their deaths in the river when the burghers refused to pay him for ridding their village of rats.

The piper from Hyde Park has tougher work, not with rats with sharp teeth but with evil Republicans deserving of a death more painful than drowning. Humorless, self-righteous and immensely proud of himself, he employs his gift of "a unique ability to identify with children" to lure the grown-up children. His success as a spinner of "fairy tales," as Bill Clinton called them in a fit of unexpected candor, is a tale of credulity run amok. Read article.

Dreams from Frank Marshall Davis
Paul Kengor, American Thinker.com

As more and more audio and video emerge on Barack Obama's desire to redistribute wealth, not to mention his views on the housing crisis that has torpedoed the U.S. economy, I keep returning to two columns I've read by Frank Marshall Davis, the communist journalist-agitator who mentored Obama in Hawaii.

While much attention has been paid to Obama's relationship with communist-terrorist Bill Ayers -- and rightly so -- much less attention has been devoted to Davis. That's a mistake, since Obama was influenced more by Davis than Ayers.

Davis, who is now deceased, was an African American from the Midwest who had worked as a columnist for the Chicago Star, the communist newspaper of Chicago, a city that had one of the largest CPUSA affiliates, and, in fact, hosted the September 1919 convention that launched the American Communist Party.

Though Davis always tried to conceal any communist associations -- ironically, Obama supporters have picked up that torch -- there's no question that Davis was a communist, as is immediately evident upon reading his columns, examining his background, or consulting with people in the party (to this day) who confirm he was a communist.

The fact that he was at least a lower case "c" "communist" is obvious. It takes a little more digging to find evidence of his membership in CPUSA -- but not much. Among the sources that reveal his membership are Davis himself, notably in a letter he wrote to a friend, published posthumously by his biographer, Professor John Edgar Tidwell. "I have recently joined the Communist party," wrote Davis. Read article.

Objective Journalism the Loser in 2008 Campaign
Michael Graham, Boston Herald.com

Did you see that amazing video obtained by the Los Angeles Times of Sen. Barack Obama toasting a prominent former PLO member at an Arab American Action Network meeting in 2003? The video in which Obama gives Yasser Arafat’s frontman a warm embrace, as Bill Ayers look on?

You haven’t seen it? Me, neither. The Los Angeles Times refuses to release it.

And so an incriminating video of Obama literally “palling around” with PLO supporters becomes one more nail in the coffin of “objective journalism.”

Alas, the obit for objective reporting has been buried - along with the stories about Obama’s 2001 support for court-imposed “redistribution of wealth” and Joe Biden’s latest gaffe.

It is particularly heartbreaking for me to see the death of objective journalism. And believe me - it is stone cold dead. Sacrificed on the altar of service to Barack Obama. Read article.

Undecideds Should Break For McCain
Dick Morris, Vote.com

If current survey trends continue, Obama will finish with less than 50 percent in the polls. Even discounting the Nader vote (some people never learn), the undecided voters could tip the race either way. How will they break?

Since there is no incumbent, they cannot automatically be assigned to the challenger; and since turnout is likely to be huge, the current undecided voters will probably make their way to the polls and cast their ballots.

But for whom?

At the beginning of this contest, Obama effectively made the case that the election was a referendum on Bush's performance in office. Painting a vote for McCain as a desire for "four more years of the same failed policies," he made the most of Bush's dismal approval rating. Had he been able to keep the focus on Bush, he would likely have inherited most of the undecided vote.

But as Obama surged into a more or less permanent lead in October, animated by the financial crisis, he has assumed many of the characteristics of an incumbent. Every voter asks himself one question before he or she casts a ballot: Do I want to vote for Obama? His uniqueness, charisma and assertive program have so dominated the dialogue that the election is now a referendum on Obama.

Why McCain-Palin Still Have a Chance
Andrew Olivastro, Townhall.com

The story of this election now is: Can John McCain pull off the upset?

If he is successful it will primarily be for two reasons: his selection of Sarah Palin and his latent, but now laser-like, focus on economic reforms.

What voters are learning about these two things is, first, that John McCain has a record of attempting many and achieving some real reforms. No small feat from the perch of the United State Senate where you often get elaborate debate and disagreement on what time of day it is. Barack Obama’s own thin record proves it is easy to find success if you simply go-along to get-along.

Voters are also coming to realize that while Sarah Palin’s status as a “commoner” won’t win her endorsements from the elite; it is precisely her common sense and her instincts that are needed to deliver reform. Sarah Palin has a record that puts people above party and entrenched political interests and proves that sound executive decisions trump rhetorical flourishes when it comes to leading and governing. The October Surprise
DonBendell.com

Barack Obama, just to get elected, portrays himself as a centrist, but he has the most liberal record of any person in congress. If elected he, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid will form a triumvirate of handout power, which will unleash wide-open unsecured borders; drivers licenses, welfare, and social security for illegal aliens; a complete downsizing of our military; a surrender in Iraq; a spending spree which will make the last eight years look like Ebenezer Scrooge’s receipt file; and an increase in taxes which will affect 100% of all Americans.

Also, this particular election is so critical, in that this President, even if elected for only four years as a nice social experiment, will actually impact our nation for generations. Why? Because this President will probably appoint up to 3 Supreme Court justices, and they will tip the scales of justice for decades maybe. They will make the difference in our Supreme Court ether defining and arbitrating the US Constitution or writing new laws from the bench based upon liberal principles.

There is of course a question of character and the many shady characters in Obama’s past have shadowed him throughout the election. He casts his friendships aside though for political expediency. McCain’s friends have mainly been regarded as heroes and patriots. This all is of great import, because we do not want to go bankrupt, lose our homes, investments, or savings. Would you open a savings account with a drug dealer? Of course not. There must be trust, complete and total trust. Read article.

New New Deal No Better Than the Old One: An Obama preview from history.
Michael Barone, NRO.com

With victory in sight, Barack Obama’s supporters are predicting that he will give us a new New Deal. To see what that might mean, let’s look back on the original New Deal.

The purpose of New Deal legislation was not, as commonly thought, to restore economic growth but rather to freeze the economy in place at a time when it seemed locked in a downward spiral. Its central program, the National Recovery Administration (NRA), created 700 industry councils for firms and unions to set minimum prices and wages. The Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA), the ancestor of our farm bills, limited production to hold up prices. Unionization, encouraged by NRA and the 1935 Wagner Act, was meant to keep workers in jobs that the unemployed would have taken at lower pay.

These policies did break the downward spiral. But, as Amity Shlaes points out in The Forgotten Man, they failed to restore growth. Double-digit unemployment continued throughout the 1930s; despite population growth, the economy failed to rebound to 1920s production levels. High taxes on high earners (a Herbert Hoover as well as Franklin Roosevelt policy) financed welfare payments (“spread the wealth around”) but reduced investment and growth.

The political verdict was negative. New Dealers were walloped in the 1938 off-year elections. Polls show that Democrats would have lost the White House in 1940 if that election had been decided on domestic issues. Read article.

The Obama Administration
Ben Shapiro, Patriot Post.us

November 3, 2012, WASHINGTON D.C. -- Tomorrow, Americans return to the polls, four years after electing Senator Barack Hussein Obama their commander in chief. Though the incumbent president trails in the polls, his aides still hold out hope that he will be able to engineer an improbable victory.

Dissatisfaction with the depressed economy, America's tenuous situation abroad, and a spate of unpopular Supreme Court decisions led by Obama appointees have led voters to embrace the “change” platform espoused by the Republican nominee, Gov. Sarah Palin. “President Obama promised you change four years ago," Palin told a screaming crowd in Pennsylvania today. “And he gave you change. A change from bad to worse. Now it's time for a new kind of change -- a kind of change more in line with the founding fathers than with the French government."

Four years ago, such a turn of events would have been almost unthinkable. Riding to victory on a crest of media-generated enthusiasm and uplifting rhetoric rich in messianic allusions, Senator Obama brought with him a supermajority of Democrats in the Senate and a solid majority of Democrats in the House. Blessed Are the Persecuted: How Joe the Plumber fits the GOP narrative.
Thomas Frank, Online WSJ.com

Historically speaking, conservatism is a movement organized and funded by society's most powerful members; politically speaking, it lusts for tax cuts and government rollbacks that will benefit those same fortunate folks at the top.

But what it really is, in its own mind, is a crusade on behalf of society's most abject members: the true Americans who are victimized, sneered at and persecuted for their faithfulness.

Who persecutes them? Well, the mainstream media, to begin with, which supposedly chuckles at their unadorned heartland ways from its lofty perches in New York and Washington. Academics, for another, with their fancy rhetoric and their bottomless contempt for the red, white and blue. And the ACLU, for a third, with its unceasing war on Ten Commandments monuments and Nativity scenes.

Then there is "the culture." Who is the butt of every joke you see on TV? Oafish Middle Americans. From sitcoms to Hollywood blockbusters to ads, their customs are disrespected in a thousand ways. Bestselling conservative books remind average citizens, in fantastic detail, the slanders and slights the world heaps upon them. Joe the Plumber is the epitome of this distorted mockery of the average American. Read article.

20 Things Most Obama Supporters Don't Know
Dr. Frank, Ornery.org

1. Barack Obama has not been investigated and reported on by the mainstream media in any meaningful way.

2. The next president will choose between 2 to 6 Supreme Court justices who will decide the fate of over 1 million babies every year for decades to come.

3. Barack Obama has pledged to sign the Freedom of Choice Act. FOCA would wipe out 35 years of hard-won progress protecting life. It would create a federally guaranteed ''fundamental right'' to abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. FOCA would abolish virtually every existing state and federal limitation on abortion. Read article.
