Senior Intelligence Officials: Attempted Terror Attack "Certain"

The five senior leaders of the U.S. intelligence community told a Senate panel they are "certain" that terrorists will attempt another attack on the United States in the next three to six months.
If true, why do you think the jihadists feel emboldened?

Exclusive: I’m TEA’d!

I’m TEA’d. On April 15, 2009, TEA’d off taxpayers from around the nation will be gathering in their cities and towns to let their feckless representatives in Washington know we are Taxed Enough Already. The time has come to stop the spending, borrowing and taxing…NOW.

I will be in Monticello, Arkansas, with a steadily growing number of people from all over the economic spectrum – doctors, lawyers, truckers and housewives – sick and tired of the way our tax money is being wasted.

Every morning, as I listen to the news, I am slapped in the face by Barack Hussein Obama and his minions telling me I must pay more. I must continue to feed, clothe, medicate and house millions of people I don’t know and, quite frankly, don’t care about. I have my own family to support. The system has become corrupted beyond recognition with recipients making a living off of collecting government freebies paid for with my tax dollars. While I, as a working middle class American struggling to support my family in a tight economy, must budget my funds in order to pay my mortgage, the message from Washington has been we must use our tax money to pay off mortgages for people who bought homes they could not afford – homes they had no business purchasing in the first place – in part because the many of the purchasers were here illegally.

Why pay rent in a low income neighborhood or live in a trailer park by the tomato fields when you can buy a nice house with no money down and make no payments? By breaking the law to get into this country, many of them fed off the system to get homes and other freebies they didn’t earn before heading back to Mexico. Of course, these government programs are paid for with money that comes out of my paycheck before I have a chance to use it to support my own family. And I don’t even get to claim these unknown people as dependents on my tax return at the end of the year so I’m doubly screwed.

I get TEA’d off every time Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi and Chris Dodd cheer because the government bought into another bank or private industry. With not a word of condemnation has been uttered by Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Congressman Mike Ross, as their silence condones this Marxist behavior. Such careless behavior by our politicians has destroyed the very fabric of our economy – the free market system – by forcing state ownership of General Motors and other private – and I stress private – businesses. Barack Obama clearly overstepped his authority by removing the president of General Motors recently. Only in Communist China – or Communist USA – could such a thing happen. Since the government is the same entity that runs the Department of Motor Vehicles, I have no hope for GM. It will meet the same fate as the U.S. Constitution has: it, too, soon will be in shreds.

I get TEA’d off every time I read that money from the so-called “Stimulus package” – money that was meant to boost the U.S. economy – goes into welfare, the government purchase of private banks and companies and pet projects that do nothing more than provide jobs for more and more government employees, as the ever-growing government continues to bloat.

According to an April 8, 2009, report in the Bradley County, Arkansas, Eagle Democrat, the Warren, Arkansas, Housing Authority is receiving $318,840 in taxpayer funds for “improvements to public housing.” Touchy-feely type spending that one may not condemn, but I will in this forum. Quite frankly, I have repairs to do around my own house, bought with my own money for my own family. Yet, the government has decided that before I see my paycheck, I must fund such projects for someone else.

I am TEA’d that government-funded schools have graduated generations of students who, while having few discernable job skills and refusing to work entry level minimum wage jobs because it is beneath them, have been indoctrinated to believe they “deserve” homes, paid-for health care and the like, given to them courtesy of the government. They believe it is not “fair” that someone has a job that provides insurance and allows that working man to buy a home for his family. They should have it too, compliments of the taxpayers of America.

I am an American taxpayer and my government and the two political parties have failed me. They have driven this nation into the cesspool of socialism that my son’s generation will not be able to pay its way out of.

As a taxpayer, I believe our nation’s military should have the finest equipment, health care, food and housing – yet they do not, even though no illegal immigrant goes without health care, food and housing. It makes me sick that our law enforcement officers barely scrape by, yet we must increase “benefits” for women with six children by six different, unknown fathers who collect a check rather than get a job. Our representative government should not pay for the career politicians we now fund, politicians who have never held a private sector job, yet extol the virtues of their “businesses,” such as Amtrak and the U.S. Post Office. I say term limits for all of them – no excuses. Cut their dependence on public assistance.

Allow churches, volunteers, nonprofit organizations and private charity – an area where Americans have been more generous than any other nation’s citizens in the world – as well as one’s own gumption (remember that?) to help the poor and downtrodden. It is time for the American taxpayer to put up or shut up. Let Washington and Little Rock know we are sick and tired of wasteful, Communist-style spending.

Yes, I’m TEA’d and yes, I will be there on April 15th. Will you?
