Senior Intelligence Officials: Attempted Terror Attack "Certain"

The five senior leaders of the U.S. intelligence community told a Senate panel they are "certain" that terrorists will attempt another attack on the United States in the next three to six months.
If true, why do you think the jihadists feel emboldened?

Victimhood or Brotherhood?

Here is the meme circulating among Jewish groups that are scrambling to develop effective strategies to counter President Obama's embrace of the Muslim word at the expense of Israeli security:

If you say “NO TWO-STATE SOLUTION” you will look like extremists, and few, other than the “choir,” will listen to you. You should be much more thoughtful.

Yes, we should be more thoughtful.

There is a two-state solution already in place, Israel and Jordan. That is the Jewish position.

After voting overwhelmingly for Barack Obama, only to see him pursue relentlessly anti-Israel policies, what should American Jews do now?

First, there is one thing we must not do: support the two-state solution. There is a two-state solution already in place: the two states are Israel and Jordan. The original Mandate for Palestine of the League of Nations was divided into an Arab state that is now Jordan, and a Jewish state that is Israel. Therefore, no further territorial concessions on Israel’s part are needed or justified. That is the Jewish position. All Jewish groups should adhere to it.

The Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Abbas Zaki, recently said that the two-state solution will bring about Israel’s collapse:

"With the two-state solution, in my opinion, Israel will collapse, because if they get out of Jerusalem, what will become of all the talk about the Promised Land and the Chosen People? What will become of all the sacrifices they made – just to be told to leave? They consider Jerusalem to have a spiritual status. The Jews consider Judea and Samaria to be their historic dream. If the Jews leave those places, the Zionist idea will begin to collapse. It will regress of its own accord. Then we will move forward."

Negotiated settlements? Look at the record. Oslo was an abortion. According to Israeli historian Benny Morris, Ehud Barak offered all this to “Palestinian” Muslims:

The proposals included the establishment of a demilitarised Palestinian state on some 92% of the West Bank and 100% of the Gaza Strip, with some territorial compensation for the Palestinians from pre-1967 Israeli territory; the dismantling of most of the settlements and the concentration of the bulk of the settlers inside the 8% of the West Bank to be annexed by Israel; the establishment of the Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem, in which some Arab neighborhoods would become sovereign Palestinian territory and others would enjoy "functional autonomy"; Palestinian sovereignty over half the Old City of Jerusalem (the Muslim and Christian quarters) and "custodianship," though not sovereignty, over the Temple Mount; a return of refugees to the prospective Palestinian state though with no "right of return" to Israel proper; and the organisation by the international community of a massive aid programme to facilitate the refugees' rehabilitation.

Arafat turned it down flat. Oh, the irony – that Jerusalem was saved by the bloodthirsty terror master Arafat. The offer of the moon led to the bloody second intifada. The Road Map went nowhere.

And had there been any doubt on the part of Jews who were living in the land of fairy tales and moonbeams before the withdrawal from Gaza and Gush Katif that the withdrawal would spell disaster for Israel, there is none now.

And by the way, there is no such thing as a “Palestinian.” There is no history of such a people. There are only Trans-Jordanians. The very concept of “Palestinian” is an Islamic narrative, nothing more – a concept that the Jew-hating world happily bought into after 1967. The "Palestinians" were born in refugee camps, not in Israel, except for a few very old ones. Palestine was never a nation. There is no Palestinian language, culture, history or religion that defines them. If the "King" of Jordan would have allowed the refugees to become Jordanian citizens, they would not be refugees.

Jewish survival, Jewish life, is beyond political expediency. The Hamas charter is not ambiguous – but the American diaspora is. American Jews should evaluate policies regarding Israel with the following principles in mind:

The fight now does not center on a “two-state” annihilationist solution. Buying into this “two-state suicide” is much like getting on the trains in 1938. This is unacceptable – what part of “never again” don't we understand? The objective for our Jewish brothers and sisters is to assist in a realignment of free nations. For the first time in modern history, Israel does not have a friend in the White House during a newly emancipated nuclear arms race in the Middle East. What can American Jews do in developing a new coalition of free nations (absent of the leader of the free world who has all but resigned that position)?

Israel must build new alliances with India, Taiwan, Japan, Micronesia, et al. An accord with the Vatican should be explored. Perhaps even with China. This is where we should be expending our energies. No option should be dismissed out of hand.

We should reject the “peace plans” devised and recommended by those who hate us. King Abdullah of Jordan recently asked Israel to choose between freedom and oppression. He said that Israel must adhere to the Saudi Wahhabi Islamic “peace” plan, which everyone secretly knows is a thinly disguised homicide mission.

The global Jihadists are rubbing their hands in evil glee at this. I find it more and more morbidly curious that everyone in the “global community,” particularly Israel’s mortal enemies, has a say in what Israel must do – except, of course, Israel herself. King Abdullah also said that Israel must “choose between integration and isolation.” He did not explain why any Israeli, or anyone at all, for that matter, would want to integrate into the land of Jihad. Israel’s neighbors hate the Jews and desire our destruction. If they don’t slaughter them all outright in their lust to destroy Israel, they will allow Jews to live in the land of Israel only as dhimmis, subjugated as second-class citizens under Sharia law. What rational, thinking man would want to deprive himself and his children of their inalienable rights?

How dare these primitive Lilliputians weigh in on a people struggling for their very existence for the past 5,769 years? As far as Abdullah goes, he would do better to focus on honor killings in his own nation. Forty percent of the women murdered in his realm are victims of honor killings. UN, call your office? No, the UN, so quick to denounce Israel, has been silent on this issue.

I look forward to the day when Israel finally understands what motivates her enemy. It won’t be long now. Palestinian Authority president and Fatah chairman Mahmoud Abbas stated unequivocally Monday that he does not accept the Jewish state. And General Ataollah Salehi, general commander of the Iranian army, recently said: “The truth is that Israel does not have the courage to attack us. If we are subjected to any attack by Israel, I do not think we will need more than 11 days to wipe Israel out of existence.” This is the true face of the Iranian regime. Iran has made its genocidal intentions clear. Yet Obama wants to sit down and talk with them.

Israel must build a new alliances with free nations who are no longer secure absent of the umbrella of American sovereignty.... this is where we should be expending our energies. We should stop funding left wing Jewish organizations that seek Israeli submission to Islam.
