Dear Tom Brokaw:
Your recent Wall Street Journal article, “Sacrifice and the Greatest Generation,” is insulting to all our veterans....Korean, Vietnam and Iraqi....every generation of young people who go into battle is "the Greatest Generation." See John McCain for an example….see the people who fight in Iraq and Afghanistan today. They fought the evils of Communism and Jihad – they all deserve our blessings and respect – even from people like you who hide behind the "politically correct" veterans idea.
In your broadcasts you are so anti-Israel, even though the Greatest Generation of Jews liberated a speck of land called Jewish Palestine and maintained a democracy there. This is what you asked President Obama in Germany:
“What can the Israelis learn from your visit to Buchenwald and what should they be thinking about their treatment of Palestinians?”
What should you be thinking about fair reporting?
What should you be learning about the history of the Israel/Arab conflict?
Shame on you for framing that repulsive moral equivalence. But then, you belong to the greatest generation of ignorant and biased journalists.
