I believe it is safe to say that many liberals are stunned by the president's decline in the polls and his inability to sell a government-run health care system. It all sounds so compassionate: helping the poor get quality medical care, ensuring that insurance companies do not gouge working Americans. How could you oppose that?
But theory is one thing; actual performance is quite something else. As you know, the president had months to clarify the details of the massive health care program but could not do it. Also, the Congressional Budget Office keeps embarrassing Obama by contradicting his optimistic financial prognostications. Americans may not like math, but they can do it. This health care deal is adding up to chaos.
Add to that the fact that hard-core leftists like Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean are almost hysterical in pushing federal health care, and a deep distrust has set in. Seniors in particular are skeptical that they may go to the end of the line when the feds begin calling the medical shots.
And then there is the senseless viciousness on the part of some who support national health care mandates. Calling those who oppose your health care point of view "domestic terrorists" is a slander no spin-doctor could deny.

Health care reform means more power for the IRS

There's been a lot of discussion about the new and powerful federal agencies that would be created by the passage of a national health care bill. The Health Choices Administration, the Health Benefits Advisory Committee, the Health Insurance Exchange — there are dozens in all.
But if the plan envisioned by President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats is enacted, the primary federal bureaucracy responsible for implementing and enforcing national health care will be an old and familiar one: the Internal Revenue Service. Under the Democrats' health care proposals, the already powerful — and already feared — IRS would wield even more power and extend its reach even farther into the lives of ordinary Americans, and the presidentially-appointed head of the new health care bureaucracy would have access to confidential IRS information about millions of individual taxpayers.
In short, health care reform, as currently envisioned by Democratic leaders, would be built on the foundation of an expanded and more intrusive IRS.
Under the various proposals now on the table, the IRS would become the main agency for determining who has an "acceptable" health insurance plan; for finding and punishing those who don't have such a plan; for subsidizing individual health insurance costs through the issuance of a tax credits; and for enforcing the rules on those who attempt to opt out, abuse, or game the system. A substantial portion of H.R. 3200, the House health care bill, is devoted to amending the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 in order to give the IRS the authority to perform these new duties. Nobody could have been happier to see August end than the liberals pushing government-run health care. The month, to put it mildly, was not kind to President Obama and his allies. Their worst nightmares were realized — Americans examined the bills being proposed and turned out in great numbers to voice their opposition.
What we can expect in September is another matter. Desperate times call for desperate means — or so liberals will think. Those who oppose this hostile takeover of one-sixth of our economy must be ready.
Proponents of Obamacare will not succeed, however, if everyone understands what unfolded last month. Simply put, the American people took matters into their own hands before the politicians could have their way.
Let’s be very clear about what happened here. Your leaders did not want you to scrutinize the profound changes they were proposing, and the best excuse they offered was that you, the American people, were too stupid to understand it.
This isn’t mere hyperbole. Politicians pushing for an overhaul of our health care system sat down with people from the Heritage Foundation and actually said, many times, such things as: “We have to pass this before the American people can read it. They will not understand it, and people will tell them bad things about it.”
But the American people did understand. They realized that the overhaul the left proposes threatens the good quality care that most receive. They sensed, moreover, that their leaders were trying to rush through complex and far-reaching changes that would have unforeseen cultural and economic consequences. Read article.

Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington…I’m asking you to believe in yours”) and “all 50 States” are coordinating this: “As we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.” That’s right, Dems will be dialing for dollars with two phone calls each during this year’s 9/11 Memorial.

There is no doubt that while the dismantling of America continues courtesy of a Democrat-dominated Congress and Senate, the transitional Shadow Government, unconfirmed by Senate and whose members are paid by the American taxpayers has quietly opened America’s gates to the barbarians. Read article.

August was the worst month of Barack Obama's presidency. And he seems to know it—he is now planning to deliver a speech to a joint session of Congress 232 days into his administration in a desperate attempt to save his biggest domestic priority, overhauling health care.
He has already had the budget-busting $787 billion stimulus package, a budget that doubles the national debt in five years, an earmark-laden appropriations bill that boosted domestic spending nearly 8%, and a cap-and-trade energy tax that limped through the House with dozens of Democratic defections (and which has stalled in the Senate). These achievements are unpopular, so they are boomeranging on him.
Mr. Obama's problems are legion. To start with, the president is focusing on health care when the economy and jobs are nearly everyone's top issue. Voters increasingly believe Mr. Obama took his eye off the ball.
In addition, Mr. Obama is trying to overhaul health care without being able to tap into widespread public unhappiness. Nearly nine out of 10 Americans say they have coverage—and large majorities of them are happy with it. Of the 46 million uninsured, 9.7 million are not U.S. citizens; 17.6 million have annual incomes of more than $50,000; and 14 million already qualify for Medicaid or other programs. That leaves less than five million people truly uncovered out of a population of 307 million. Americans don't believe this problem—serious but correctable—justifies the radical shift Mr. Obama offers. Read article.

Let us catch them young, inspire them to support the underdog, struggling minority who made it to the top with hope and dreams. Never mind that Obama, though not raised in a traditional family, went to the finest and private schools and high end Universities, has owned million dollar homes for years, made tons of money for years and has millions in the bank. What a suffering horror show that reflects most of America!
Of course Obama will plant dreams in the children of internationalism, globalism, hope against all odds and he of course will be the messiah and encourager of all that. No doubt he will urge them to work hard in school, dream big and give back some to Uncle Sam/Obama in exchange for future college tuition. Naturally, he will determine where they serve, what pittance they get paid and what freedoms they give up while doing that service for the king and Messiah. Could this service eventually include turning friends and family in for disagreeing with the messiah?
This is classically what we saw in Germany by Hitler. He created his brown shirts throwing out dreams, hopes and promises in exchange for loyalty. He got it all right! The youth thought they were doing their duty, securing their future and serving their brave and honorable President. Obama assume the position. Oh yes, the suffering servant already has and is acting like a dictator but the poles continue to show ground being lost with the American people SO let us go for the kiddies.
I predict a series of talks to our children from the President in the months ahead. I called my children’s schools today and our Superintendent’s office to find out their exact plans and announce that I would be in their class that day listening in and taking notes. I highly suggest you either pull your kids out of class that day or show up with them and discuss the speech with them thoroughly.
We must vote this Dictator out of office as soon as possible and repair the damage. Stand up for the real America. Read article.
The American and Anti-American Revolution

The monumental significance of the American Revolution is articulated in the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration teaches that to merit obedience, the laws enacted by any State must be consistent with the “laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” This “Higher Law” doctrine provides grounds not only for civil disobedience, but even for violent revolution if the acts of the State evince a design toward tyranny. Not the State but God is the ultimate source of authority.
Such is the profundity of the Declaration that it was incorporated in most of the thirteen original state constitutions. Abraham Lincoln regarded the Declaration as the credo of the American people and the political philosophy of the American Constitution. Thus understood, the Constitution is based on certain immutable ethical and political principles.
Most fundamental is the primacy of the individual, from which follows the principle of limited government. Limited government requires separation of legislative, executive, and judicial branches. This produces institutional checks and balances to prevent majority as well as minority tyranny. The Constitution thus prescribes institutional means to safeguard the individual’s rights to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
It may shock you to learn—but some scholars believe I am the first political scientist to reveal—that the seed of the anti-American revolution was planted by Woodrow Wilson.
Enter Barack Obama, a self-declared cosmopolitan, now spearheading an anti-American revolution. The Declaration and the Constitution are being relegated to the dust heap of history. This revolution employs institutional and cultural techniques to stifle individual freedom and maximize the power of the State. Read article.

Illustrating how proponents of Obamacare “lost the month of August,” Politico notes that while Rep. Vic Snyder (D-AR) claimed health care would be transformed “under President Obama’s leadership” in late July, by mid-August he had been humbled, telling a 1,000 person townhall: “I’ve never been a big fan of this public option.” How are Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) planning on bringing the likes of Rep. Snyder back in line? Again from Politico:
Leaders say their strategy is to convince members that nothing is set in stone and that they are more than open to negotiations. And they’re engaging in a softer sell, prioritizing health insurance reforms while pitching the public option as something that’s way, way down the road.
The American people have done a tremendous job this August educating their elected leaders on the fact that they have no desire for government-run health care. And they have every right to believe that President Obama’s “public option” will achieve exactly that. Read article.
The Bigger the Government, the Smaller the Citizen

The Obama Birth Certificate Scandal

CNN's Lou Dobbs has come under a vicious attack by Media Matters, the far-left media "watchdog" group, for merely covering the issue and raising questions about where Obama was born. The leftist group insists that Dobbs is guilty of promoting "racially charged conspiracy theories" because Obama is black.
Media Matters had previously criticized AIM Editor Cliff Kincaid's comments at the Conservative Political Action Conference, when he merely noted that while we knew where President Reagan was born, we don't know for sure where Obama was born.
As we have previously reported, in order to clear up the controversy, Rep. Bill Posey of Florida introduced H. R. 1503, whose purpose is to "amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution." It was referred to the House Committee on House Administration.
If passed, however, this legislation would only impact the 2012 presidential election.
Interestingly, back in the Winter 1992-93 edition of Parameters, the U.S. Army War College Quarterly, Charles J. Dunlap, Jr. published a fictional article, "The Origins of the American Military Coup of 2012," in which he speculated about a military takeover because "Americans became exasperated with democracy. We were disillusioned with the apparent inability of elected government to solve the nation's dilemmas. We were looking for someone or something that could produce workable answers. The one institution of government in which the people retained faith was the military." Read article.

Conservatives seem to catch on pretty quickly to the fact that they are not fascists, but our liberal friends seem to have a hard time wrapping their heads around the concept. So, for their sake—one last time.
At the extreme end of the left-wing are the collectivist ideologies, including fascism. Collectivists believe in building a massive government, and having everything under the government’s control. The whole Nazi grab-bag—concentration camps, swastikas, jackboots, et al., belongs to the left-wing.
At the extreme right of the political spectrum are anarchists, and they don’t build anything. As soon as they see a government—democratic, fascist, whatever—they want to destroy it. It’s what they do. There’s no way in the world that the Far Right could be fascists. So it’s been swell having the Far Left pretend that we are one of them, but they need to take back their swastikas, jackboots, and armbands now—we insist.

In what reads like a bad Hollywood movie script Marion Barry has changed his mind about Filipino nurses. Just a few weeks after complaining about how many Filipino nurses work in Washington DC Barry's life was saved by Filipino nurses. That's right, the same people he wanted to push our of DC hospitals ended up treating his potentially life threatening blood clot.

Violence erupts at the end of the NATO Summit protests. Earlier today, members of Black Bloc were arrested for plotting to attack police stations, Mayor Emanuel's home and President Obama's campaign headquarters. Their violence then turned to the protest; police in riot gear move in, wearing gas masks. Protesters are throwing things at police according to video, live photos and reports from on the ground in Chicago.
