Exclusive: How Quaint: Anita Dunn’s Favorite Philosopher, Chairman Mao, Killed Some 70 Million People

Can you imagine if a member of a presidential administration publicly praised the work ethic of Adolf Hitler or the “back to the earth” philosophy of Pol Pot? The outrage from the mainstream media would be swifter than their outrage over Rush Limbaugh’s attempt to become a minority owner of an NFL team, and the news would likely reverberate for at least two weeks, even after that official was hounded from office.

Yet last week a video of White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, giving a speech to high school students, surfaced on Glenn Beck’s Fox News television show. In the video, Dunn tells the students who her two “favorite political philosophers” are: Mother Theresa and Mao Tse-tung of China.

Dunn said these are “the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is you’re going to make choices. You’re going to challenge. You’re going to say why not. You’re going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.”

Well, that certainly can be said of Chairman Mao. As the architect of China’s “cultural revolution” – read: Communist takeover – he was responsible for the deaths of millions of Chinese. How many? Estimates run as high as 77 million, all dead as either a result of outright violence or Chairman Mao’s policies that led to China’s great famine from 1958 to 1961. Were these policies intentional? No, says R.J. Rummel, who has written dozens of books chronicling “democide,” or death by government:

"From the biography of Mao, which I trust … I can now say that yes, Mao's policies caused the famine. He knew about it from the beginning," Rummel said, adding Mao even "tried to take more food from the people to pay for his lust for international power, but was overruled by a meeting of 7,000 top Communist Party members."

"So, the famine was intentional. What was its human cost? I had estimated that 27 million Chinese starved to death or died from associated diseases. Others estimated the toll to be as high as 40 million. Chang and Halliday put it at 38 million and, given their sources, I will accept that," said Rummel. "I'm now convinced that Stalin exceeded Hitler in monstrous evil, and Mao beat out Stalin."

Mao's butchery "exceeds the 61,911,000 murdered by the Soviet Union 1917-1987, with Hitler far behind at 20,946,000 wiped out (from) 1933-1945," he said.

Writing in Commentary magazine back in 2005, FSM contributing editor Arthur Waldron said of Chairman Mao:

Mao was the greatest mass murderer of the 20th century. Much of the killing was direct, as in the torture and purges at Yan’an. After the Communist seizure of power in 1949, the practice became countrywide. Mao set his numerical targets openly, and stressed the “revolutionary” importance of killing.

Yes, Chairman Mao certainly had a way of “challenging,” of “figuring out how to do things that have never been done before.” It’s quite chilling that a White House official should be so mesmerized by a man who holds the dubious honor of being the biggest mass murderer in modern history – perhaps all of history.

And we wonder why avowed Communists like the recently evicted “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones are even allowed on Pennsylvania Avenue, much less the White House.

Has communism become so passé that we no longer need to worry about it? Have all those funky fresh Che t-shirts that college students seem to love dumbed us down to the point of acceptance of one of the most destructive political philosophies of all time?

The only place you will hear of Dunn’s interesting little speech is on Fox and the Internet. Everyone else is too busy excoriating the Heene family of Colorado, perpetrators of the “balloon boy” hoax, which the media themselves helped to perpetrate by their hysterical rush to latch on to the latest sensational news story.

And the White House isn’t worried – Dunn is the “interim” communications director, and is already slated to leave by the end of the year. No wonder she was picked to spearhead the White House’s all-out war on Fox News.

Of course the media has already tried to "spin" this as no big deal. The fact that someone would ever breathe this man's name in a commencement address in OUR country is horrific.....

She can hold any opinion she wants, until she takes an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Then she becomes liable for treason, which is and should be punishable by death.

It's already 'fascism' and headed toward full blown communism. The sheeple and most 'patriots'/conservatives/truthers/paulbots/whatever will be willing slaves because they are unwilling to do what is required.

It will take many expensive suits hanging along Pennsylvania Ave. to fix this mess if it can be fixed.

Don’t understand? Start here:

Think globally, fight locally. Aim small, miss small. One shot, one dead "Liberal"(communist/fascist).
