Exclusive: ‘Abigail Adams Project’ To Provide Valuable Service to American Voters
The Editors
2010 is gearing up to be a critical election year. If you’re looking for a way to find out where political candidates stand on the issues without having to worry about party affiliation – which can sometimes be more burdensome than helpful – look no further. Homemakers for America is launching the Abigail Adams Project. The Abigail Adams Project is a grassroots voter information initiative that will provide candidate information without including party affiliation. Who are the candidates? Where do they stand on the pressing issues of the day? From the President of the United States all the way down the school board in every city, county and state in the country, the Abigail Adams Project has the answers voters need. This information will be open to candidates from all parties, not just those running with one of the two main parties.
Candidates for office will receive surveys, which the Abigail Adams Project will then compare against their voting records, which will highlight any discrepancies in the completed surveys. The Abigail Adams Project will inform candidates that if they don’t bother to turn in their surveys will be “outed” to the voters in their communities via a notation on the voter guide that they refused to fill out a survey.
This information will be not just be available on the Internet, but also via teams of volunteers by state and county all over the nation, who will distribute the information to voters at polls on Election Day.
As A Mom is involved in this effort, along with other Tea Party, Liberty, and 9-12 groups, to coordinate efforts and provide the tens of thousands of volunteers needed to carry out the project in time for the 2010 general election.
When Americans have the power of information in their own hands, no longer will candidates need a huge campaign “war chest” or be affiliated with a party to be considered a “viable” candidate. Thanks to the Abigail Adams Project, voters will know all the candidates running, along with where they stand on the issues that matter. Party, gender, and race will become irrelevant.
What about when the election is over? Holding our elected leaders feet to the fire once they are elected is crucial, and Abigail Adams Project volunteers are currently working with several of their partnering organizations to create a communication system that will allow them to keep an eye on our elected leaders and report on their service.
What can you do to help? You can contact the Abigail Adams Project with the names of grassroots organizations in your area to help them broaden their network. You can also spread the word about this important voter initiative, as the mainstream media won’t want to be involved in a movement that threatens their power and that of the establishment they serve.
The Abigail Adams Project is also seeking individuals who would be willing to serve as state and county coordinators to oversee operations in their area and work with the Homemakers for America team to implement the project on a national, state and local level. If you are interested in serving in one of these positions for your state, county or town, please send an e-mail with your name, state and a little bit about yourself (please limit your e-mail to 300 words) to info@homemakersforamerica.com. This is also the e-mail address you can use if you have other questions about the Abigail Adams Project.
This is our country. The future of America is in our hands and we have the power turn this ship around and head our nation back to freedom and liberty. The Abigail Adams Project is the instrument that will get us there. Together we will make a difference.
