Exclusive: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up! (12/28/09)

Whenever you think general incompetence by those who purport to serve by the consent of the governed can’t get any worse, think again:
“Homeland security head: The security system worked” (Associated Press, 12/27/2009)
(AP) — WASHINGTON - Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says investigators did not have enough information to keep a terror suspect from boarding a flight bound for Detroit and that the system worked as it should have.
The father of the man accused of attempting to blow up the jetliner told U.S. officials in Nigeria he was concerned about his son's extreme religious views. However, Napolitano says there was no specific information to place Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab on a no-fly list.

We’d hate to see what happens when the system doesn’t work. And we’re now waiting to see little old ladies being stripped down to be sure they aren’t wearing explosive devices under their bloomers just to be sure no one is offended.
“Stupak: Obama Admin Bullying Me to Accept Abortion Funding in Health Care” (LifeNews.com)
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) – Congressman Bart Stupak, the pro-life Democrat who has been the consistent champion against abortion funding in the health care bill, says the Obama administration is trying to bully him. Stupak says in a new interview that he will not back down in the face of pressure from the White House.
Stupak told CNS News that the White House and top Congressional Democrats are attempting to twist his arm to accept the Reid-Nelson "compromise" language that still allows massive taxpayer financing of abortions.
“They think I shouldn't be expressing my views on this bill until they get a chance to try to sell me the language,” Stupak told CNSNews Tuesday.

If the health care bill was as great as we’re being told it is, why would anyone have to be bullied into voting for it? Inquiring minds want to know.
“Sen. Max Baucus Drunk on the Senate Floor?” (YouTube 12/23/09)
No wonder it takes so long for Congress to get anything done. Seeing as how the Senate loves to investigate steroid use in baseball and initiate bills on how college football playoffs are conducted, we’re sure that they’ll look into this incident right away…not.
“It’s Not Socialism. It’s Communism.” (Alan Caruba, Warning Signs, 12/27/09).
The McCarthy hearings in the 1950s proved a setback for efforts to learn how thoroughly infiltrated the U.S. government had become by Communists, not because Sen. Joseph McCarthy was wrong, but because he proved a poor spokesperson for the cause. He was easily criticized for his bombast, but the declassification of the Venona papers, secret communications between Soviet spymasters and their agents, revealed he may well have underestimated the threat.

The specter of Communist subversion of the U.S. Constitution is staring us in the eye with the so-called healthcare “reform” of Medicare; it includes all manner of provisions that are unconstitutional and would expand federal government control over one-sixth of the nation’s economy. The bribery and thuggish pressures and threats against … Senators and Representatives to pass the bill reveal a political leadership more devoted to ideology than the will of the People.

Are we still a representative republic? With everything that’s going on, it’s a fair question to ask. Government is seizing more and more power, chipping away at precious American liberties. The success of the tea party movement shows that Americans aren’t quite ready to buckle under. But is it too late?
My 2 cents worth from Black's Law Dictionary:Bribery, a form of pecuniary corruption, is an act implying money or gift given that alters the behavior of the recipient. Bribery constitutes a crime and is defined by Black's Law Dictionary as the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official or other person in discharge of a public or legal duty. The bribe is the gift bestowed to influence the recipient's conduct. It may be any money, good, right in action, property, preferment, privilege, emolument, object of value, advantage, or merely a promise or undertaking to induce or influence the action, vote, or influence of a person in an official or public capacity.

We have been moving farther and farther away from being a representative republic for a very long time. The one thing we can thank the Obama administration for is bringing that fact to our attention as quickly as he did. Had the incremental movement continued, we would have given it all away. So, I say "thank you, Mr. President. You have succeeded in waking us up before it is too late."

We can "look forward" to the current "administration" going after dangerous thugs and evil people such as those who love freedom, pro-life individuals, those who admired Mother Teresa, etc. while the terrorists continue to laugh at the jokers now in charge--and, I suspect, are working together with Obama & co., at least to a point.
Moreso, we can look forward to dumping the current Washington losers who have sold out on all of us for money and percs, in the name of enslavement for the rest of us. But I'm sure they're already making sure the future elections are "fixed" so they can keep messing up every single thing they can possibly get their greedy hands on.
Pray, people! I've never seen such incredibly sick politicians "in charge" in my life! They should disgust anyone who values freedom.
