Exclusive: Are We Financing Our Own Demise?

What is Sharia Compliant Finance (SCF)?  This is the question I seem to be hearing all too often. As I had explained in my article “One Nation under Allah,” “Sharia deals with all aspects of day-to-day life, from family issues to sexuality, hygiene, politics, economics, banking, business, contracts and social issues, and more.”
 
Put simply, Sharia is the law of the land in Iran and Sudan and for groups such as the Taliban, al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah. Allow me to refresh your memory on the “religion of peace.”  According to “The Reliance of the Traveler, the classic manual of Islamic sacred law” which is considered the authoritative Sunni Sharia rulebook, the following is a selection of some Sharia laws:
  • Offensive, military Jihad is a religious obligation.
  • Inferior status for all non-Muslims (known as “dhimma”).
  • Capital punishment for slandering Islam.
  • Capital punishment for apostasy (leaving Islam).
  • Women may not leave the house without husbands’ permission; beating disobedient women, polygamy, forced child marriage, and stoning of adulterers are permitted.
  • Slavery is legal.
  • Lying (“taqiyya”) to infidels is permitted.
  • Capital punishment for homosexuals and lesbians.
Just as Sharia is not about religion, but rather politics and power, Sharia banking is not about banking: it is about politics, economics, and power – which explains why Iran was the first and remains the only one of two countries in the world today (Sudan being the second) that mandates 100 percent Sharia banking. When Khomeini deposed the Shah in 1978, secular law and human rights went out and Sharia law, oppression and zealot mullahs came into every aspect of life, including the banking system. Prior to 1978, the entire world including the Middle East practiced traditional, Western banking. Today, Iran remains the market leader in Sharia Finance and the market leader in terror finance and terror in general. 
 
Would AIG, Citigroup, Dow Jones, HSBC, UBS, Visa and Mastercard have become involved with something called Apartheid Finance? Or Nazi Finance?  Of course not.  So why are they involved with Sharia Finance? Have these firms stopped reading the newspapers? Don’t they know that Sharia-driven Iran is building nuclear weapons and funding the Sharia-driven Taliban who is killing our own young men and women soldiers? Or that our President is putting economic sanctions on Sharia-driven Iran?
 
Or is it just all about the money? Oil money generates Sharia investment fees and Sharia trading commissions, and sells Sharia insurance policies with fat premiums.
 
But the danger to our national security is this: the hallmark of Iranian Banking (i.e., Sharia banking) is the hiring of mullahs or sheiks in order to have some control over banking practices and the mandate to send some profits off to “Sharia charities” (a process known as Zakat). Hiring Sharia sheiks gives these groups standing in the banking world and brands “Sharia” as perfectly ethical. Sending money to charity? What could be more ethical, and everyone is concerned about ethics these days.
 
Wrong. Four of the most sought-after “Sharia authorities” in the industry, listed below, reads like a Who’s Who of Terrorists. They all sit on the board of the AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) or the board of IFSB (Islamic Finance Standards Board). And guess who sits on these boards? IFSB members include the central banks of Iran, Sudan, and Syria (all designated state sponsors of terrorism) and the Palestinian Monetary Authority (PMA), which is widely documented since its inception to be a funder of terrorism.
 
Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawiis on the Board of AAOIFI, the Bank Al-Taqwa (shut down in 2001 by the U.S. Treasury for terror funding) and many other Middle East banks. Qaradawi, has been banned from entering the United States of America since 1999 and the United Kingdom since 2008 because of his ties to terrorism.  He created a 57-member network of charities called the “Union of Good,” which is designated as a sponsor of terrorism by the U.S. Government. In July 2003 in Stockholm, at a conference arranged by the Muslim Association of Sweden, he expressed his support for suicide attacks against Israeli civilians which he called a "necessary Jihad." Perhaps this is why he described Sharia charity dollars as "Jihad with Money" in an interview with the BBC in 2006. During an address to the Journalists Syndicate in Cairo (Associated Press, September 2, 2004) he stated, "Fighting American civilians in Iraq is a duty for all Muslims… Americans in Iraq are all fighters and invaders. There is no difference between a civilian and a military American in Iraq”. Lastly, just to show how ‘charitable’ he really is on July 7, 2004, in an interview with BBC TWO's Newsnight he said, "Allah Almighty is just; through his infinite wisdom he has given the weak a weapon the strong do not have and that is their ability to turn their bodies into bombs as Palestinians do."
 
Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmaniis the Chairman of AAOIFI and is, or has been a paid Sharia Sheik on the Board of HSBC, Dow Jones, Citigroup and Guidance Financial. He is the Founder and Director of Jamia Uloom madrassa, the second largest madrassa in Pakistan, which "boasts close ties to the Taliban" according to International Crisis Human Rights Group. He was the Deobandi Cleric to the Taliban in 2001. According to a comment piece in The Times (UK), September 8, 2007 Usmani "believes that aggressive military jihad should be waged by Muslims 'to establish the supremacy of Islam' worldwide."
 
Imran Ashraf Usmaniis on the Boards of AAOIFI; AIG, HSBC, Citigroup, Lloyds TSB Bank (UK) and Credit Suisse Bank. Imran is the son of Sheik Taqi Usmani, schooled in the same Jihadist Pakistan madrassa. Banks are replacing Taqi Usmani with his son, Imran, as his father’s Jihadist background is being publicized. 
 
Sheikh Yusef Talal DeLorenzois on the boards of AAOIFI; IFSB, Barclays Capital, Dow Jones, Guidance International, Sharia Capital and Blackrock. He is an American convert to Islam who dropped out of Cornell and was educated at the same Jihadist Darul Uloom madrassa as the Usmani father and son team. He was also an advisor to Pakistan President Zia al-Haq 1981–1984 during the creation of the Taliban. He is the past Director of Education for the Islamic Saudi Academy, which has been condemned for its hate curricula by the Congress-appointed U.S. Commission on Religious Freedom. DeLorenzo was the secretary of the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) which The Investigative Project has linked to Islamist extremism and terrorism. It was Sheikh DeLorenzo who said using the word "ethical" was a better description than "Sharia" for Western bankers to understand. 
 
So what do these sheiks actually do? One of their jobs is to ensure that somehow money from Sharia investments gets sent off to charity. The problem is that their definition of charity and the definition of charity according to most Americans are polar opposites.
 
In Webster’s, charity is defined as “generous actions or donations to aid the poor, ill, or helpless.” Conversely, on the HSBC Amanah Website in its list of Sharia “charity” is “fi sabilillah.” This is defined in the Reliance of the Traveler, the Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law (Umdat Al-Salik), p. 272, as follows:
 
“those fighting for Allah, meaning people engaged In Islamic military operations for whom no salary has been allotted in the army, or volunteers for Jihad without remuneration. They are given enough to suffice them for the operation, even if affluent: of weapons, mounts, clothing, and expenses.”
 
Further, the distribution of Zakat through Sharia or Iranian investments is not left to the choice of the investor, regardless if they are Muslim or non-Muslim. Instead the process of giving to charity is directly imbedded in the structure of the Sharia bond or mutual fund.  The investor has no choice. And deciding which charity receives the funding is left to the sole discretion of the hired Sharia Sheiks of the bank (or Mullahs in Iran).
 
Wait a minute. Let me understand this, charitable payments go to the army? For people who are fighting for Allah? For Jihad? Is that really true? You’re damned right! According to Sharia Islamic law, money for charity will be given to fight for Allah. And as previously demonstrated time and again, Muslim jihadist-terror organizations are indeed prominent Zakat recipients.  In fact, the U.S. Government has classified 27 Islamic charities as terror organizations; most recently, the Holy Land Foundation in Dallas, Texas, was convicted of financing terrorism in 2008 and had been charged with funneling $12 million dollars to Hamas.
 
How much revenue might be generated by the tiny but growing strong Sharia Finance market today? The Oasis Fleming Sharia fund of the UK reported in 2007 that it made $34.9 million in profits and distributed $3.3 million of this to Sharia charities. That’s a phenomenal 9.42% income to Islamic “zakat” or charity, and it is discretely named as “non-permissible income” on its income statement.  There is approximately $1 trillion of Sharia assets managed all over the world today (with 30 percent of it managed by Iranian banks). Assuming a return of 10 percent on these investments, that translates to $9.42 billion going to Sharia charities in 2010. Some might go to feed the needy, some to mosques, and some to CAIR. Oh, and yes, some to groups such as al Qaeda, the Taliban and other terrorist organizations.
 
Sharia finance is expected to grow 12 – 15 percent annually… so year in and year out, more and more dollars will go to fund the political movement of Sharia as lived by the Government of Iran, the Taliban and others. In fact, the Cozen O'Connor Law Firm  brought a suit in 2003 (now in the Supreme Court), on behalf of nearly three dozen insurers including Chubb, Ace and Allstate alleging that the funding for the 9/11 attacks in which nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered came directly from Islamic charities which acquired their Zakat donations in part thru Islamic banks. Many Islamic banks are named in this suit, including the Dubai Islamic Bank.
 
Funny how our government seems to be talking about sanctioning Iran while, at the same time, stopping the Taliban (with the blood of our own young people). The SEC is urging stricter regulations to avoid another sub-prime disaster. The U.S. Treasury and 32 central banks are considering stopping business with the shady Iranianbanking system which doesn’t comply with global banking standards of transparency and money-laundering. Yet Sharia Finance, the financial system of Iran, is rolling full speed ahead right into neighborhoodbranches of AIG, Citi, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Prudential and UBS.
 
As I have said and written many times before; enough is enough, open your eyes, get involved, tell your friends, family and colleagues and your Congressmen and Senators too. Sound the alarm!
 
The problem of Sharia compliant finance, just like Sharia itself, will not just go away. Unless we demand that our representatives and the companies mentioned above do something to stop Sharia Compliant Financing, it will only get worse.
 
Consider this next time you do business with one of these companies: what is your money being used to do?

It seems that most civilians tend to ignore the threat that is in their own backyard (like Sam). Islamic/Sharia law, it is all the same to me. It is these ideologies that allowed my uncle, who is Iranian, to be tortured under those laws. His mother beaten by her husband because she did not wear a burqa, and my aunt's nephew (also Iranian) put his hands on her to hurt her. This is a religion and political ideology that forces women to submit to men, to call children to commit suicide bombings for martyrdom, and the total subjugation of a population that do not convert to Islam. This excludes the homicide of children who do not submit. This is my country, my freedom, and my home. I do not want to turn it over to people who do not respect the sanctity of life. Nor do I want to wear a hijab or burqa. If you want that leave this country, go to the middle east. As for me, I love my country. Inform yourselves and do not let this country become like Europe. I am a patriot, I have served, so keep this country free. Sharia is here so let us send it back home.

Dont mix traditional, tribal or cultural bad habits with true Islamic values. Go speak to true worshiping Muslims. Know us first before ridiculing our religion. Repeating stereotypical examples to picture Muslims is bad taste. Why dont you describe the crimes and injustices happening in Europe or the US. To single out Islam as the reason for certain peoples behavior is unfair. These European countries you talk about will soon be over run by muslims. Fourtunatly there is nothing you can do about it.

Concerned Patriot, well you care to be a patriot and there are billion more who think like you do, but you are off topic when it comes to Sharia dealing with Finances, do you have any substantial evidence against Shariah compliant financing? any numbers, statistics or calculations?

Sam, I find it interesting, when someone quotes Islam or Sharia, the Muslims say it is "trash" or not translated correctly.
According to (Mufti) Abdullah Patel on an Islamic website:
"Reliance of the Traveller is an English translation of a highly reputable, classical manual on Shafi'ee Fiqh, 'Umdat-al-Salik wa Uddat-un-Naasik' (The Reliance of Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper) written by Sheikh Ahmad Ibn Naqib Al-Misri (Died - 769A.H / 1368 C.E.)

The English translation by Nuh Ha Mim Keller has been authenticated by Al-Azhar university and other Ulama. (See introduction to the revised edition by Amana Publications)."

So the Mufti says it is "a highly reputable, classical manual" and you are calling it trash?

Actually, Goldman-Sachs created and manufactured every economic bubble since the 1930s. If any one group of people controls wealth disproportionately, it's the Jews. I don't wish to blame this or that culture. Understanding how business cycles are manipulated is hugely beneficial if you can time your entrance and exit strategies. However, people are bankrupted by this financial manipulation.

The notion that Muslims are taking over the world is pure paranoia, reminiscent of the Cold War. I am well aware of Daniel Pipes agenda and how you want the U.S. to pay for and fight a holy war against Islam in order to protect Israel. Please send your own sons and daughters off to war and fight your own battles. I am not Islamic and I come from a culture that is typically antagonistic of Muslims, but this site is full of manipulations that are intended to help fulfill a Zionist agenda.

After I grew up and got into the real world (it seems like you are rural, home-schooled people who live in a tiny world), I actually met and worked with a few Muslims. They are not terrorists or extremists. The worst thing I heard is some anti-gay speech, which you can just as soon hear from the majority of Christians.

Daniel Pipes, in particular, is academically dishonest. He has fabricated statistics time and again. Officials from the Danish government have responded to his hate speech and illuminated the fact that Pipes has fabricated his data. What he says is hurtful and offensive to anyone. It's the same thing we hear in California about the Mexicans sneaking in the border to live off welfare and take our jobs. Which one is it? They're mutually exclusive.

The truth is that Conservatives love illegal immigration. It gives their Industrialist buddies cheap labor that can be exploited. They pander to the voters in order to get elected, and once elected, they do nothing about it. I would love to see the borders protected, however Republicans and Democrats are not interested in doing this. Both parties work on behalf of interest groups that need cheap labor to be competitive. If you go into any meat packing plant in the Southern U.S., it's all illegal aliens working there, and that's the meat that ends up on your (and my) table. I would gladly pay more for meat if it was made by well paid Americans (citizens or residents)

You are frauds and the true enemies of America. Your disclaimer about deleting abusive content really means you should delete this whole site, because it is intellectually dishonest.

We'ver heard this about every immigrant group that set foot on our soil. Even Swedes were harassed and considered "dumb Swedes" when their wave of immigration hit our soil. We even interred the Japanese, now you watch their TVs. Now Daniel Pipes and a handful of dishonest academics are trying to scapegoat another group of immigrants. It's the same old trick, pulled right from the Nazi playbook -- ironic, to say the least how these Zionists are acting just like the Nazis that tried to destroy them.

This is good news for Latinos -- they're getting a little bit of a break from being scapegoated for all of America's problems. Now there's a group that's even more "inherently evil" than Latinos... Muslims!

I'm not crazy about the fact that a Jewish investment bank (Goldman-Sachs) controls the majority of wealth in the U.S. I have Jewish friends who do not benefit from this in the slightest. You have to learn to live with it. Just like you can't hold every Jew accountable for Goldman-Sachs, and you cannot hold every Japanese accountable for Pearl Harbor, you can't blame Muslims for all of your problems.

The problem with your line of thinking is that you sell us out even more to the Chinese. We will have a $1.6 trillion defecit, and reading a lot of this drivel, I see you want to start a new holy war.

If you do a little research you find that Daniel Pipes is a fraud and his supporters are extremists -- Zionists and far right-wing think tanks who are financially supported by defense companies. Both of these interest groups will benefit from a war against Islam. You will send your sons and daughters to fight a war for a handful of extremists and corporations that benefit. Your taxes will go to war, we will have more debt with the Chinese and now Middle East countries.

Quite a lot of the vitriol on this site is fueled by some misinformation generated by Daniel Pipes. I am in favor of free speech, and he has the right to say these things, but his goal is to instigate a confrontation by falsifying information. He has been denounced by Danish politicians as a creater of hate speech, similar to how the Jews were portrayed in Europe in the 1930s. Please read this excerpt that was published by Danish politicians. I think they are more aware of what is happening in their nation than a conservative Zionist American. Daniel Pipes has realized that most Americans will not buy into his drivel, as we are far more educated on tolerance, so he's trying to move the battle to Denmark. He makes up data! He is a liar!

"As Danish politicians, we are offended by the way integration problems in Denmark were portrayed by Daniel Pipes and Lars Hedegaard and we wish to set the record straight (Muslim Extremism: Denmark's had Enough, Daniel Pipes and Lars Hedegaard, Aug. 27).

Interesting reading about how Goldman-Sachs creates all of the bubbles. I saw this guy on the Daily Show, so before you call him an anti-Semite, he was on John Stewart's show.

What he says is the same sort of thing I learned about macroeconomics in high school and college, minus the implication of Goldman-Sachs. Most academics tend to stick toward the theoretical, except Daniel Pipes, who invents data and tries to manipulate Caucasian Christians (worldwide) into a holy war with Islam.

That said, this is journalism. I don't agree with it 100%. I think it is a bit simplistic, yet I do agree that Goldman-Sachs is the reason why we all lost so much money in the market. I do agree that they manipulate the market. I was at the front lines of the .com days, and I saw Goldman-Sachs underwrite some of the shakiest companies to IPO. It is true that they even underwrote companies that were just ideas scrawled on a napkin. Investment banks are supposed to do "due dillegence", but they simply underwrote anything .com in order to inflate their bubble. It's purely short-term thinking.

But now I know how it works, I will do better and sell off my investments near the next peak... It's the best you can do. Whoever controls the wealth, controls the government, which is also why they got fat bailouts.

Let's make sure we don't bail out our own extremists and fund a holy war that will make the world less secure and sell us out to the Chinese and your dreaded Muslims. We simply cannot afford a new war of this scale, whether it is right or wrong (and I think it is wrong and ethnocentrist). You are being manipulated by far right wing radicals and think tanks that are funded by defense contractors. Your tax money will go to pay for these huge expensive wars and your children will fight and die in them, while the elites enjoy the benefits and keep their children out of harm's way.

Just say no to bailouts. If you Zionists want to start a holy war, you can send your own children off to die. You can spend your own money. Most Jews will not even support you, because most Jews are reasonable and sane people.

If Israel cannot stand on their own and co-exist peacefully, maybe there should be some consideration that we stop bailing them out and either move them elsewhere or let them fend for themselves.

I hear so much about how the Jews turned Israel into this productive paradise, while Arabs are wallowing in dirt. Keep in mind, the U.S. and the rest of the world has pumped TRILLIONS of dollars into Israel. Now a few Zionist extremists want to take more of our money and get us into a dangerous holy war. This is exactly the intolerance that reveals your motives. You simply do not like the otherness of the Muslims. I would think perhaps trying to put an end to female circumcision would be great. I also think putting an end to Catholic priest raping boys would be a great idea too. I am not a religious zealot -- most religions have dubious practices. 15% of Muslim women have had some sort of female circumcision done to them. That's awful, but some would say it's done to every Muslim woman. No, it's mainly done in the more backward, rural cultures. 10% of Catholic priests are estimated to have raped boys. At least Muslims own up to their perversities. The Catholics have just covered it up.

The fact that you need to ban the clothing that people wear is a sign of your true intentions. You cannot tolerate any facet of their culture. You are ethnocentric xenophobes.

In terms of rape -- the only people I know who have raped people are Caucasian college students in fraternities. I could just as easily construct a blog demonstrating that they are a threat and are infiltrating our society with rape, alcohol abuse, and parasitic behavior (they drank their way through college, didn't learn anything, but a frat brother gets them a cushy middle management job, where the end up taking credit for other's work and blaming their mistakes on others).

The fact is -- I know most Caucasians are not like this. They are an extreme minority.

I live in California and I have Muslims neighbors who live 200 yards from my home. The wife sometimes wears a headscarf, but will often wear a hooded sweatshirt to cover her head. It's a religious practice. She drives her own car and leaves the home without male supervision. I met her husband, and he's born in the USA, no accent or anything. Their female children do not wear any Muslim clothing. In short -- they are assimilating, which frauds like Pipes say is not possible. It takes some time, but Pipes motives are to use his Harvard degrees to profit -- give legitimacy to hateful ideas and a neo-conservative agenda. It's far more lucrative, and after all, no decent university would hire him. He can be a fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution, but Stanford would never hire this nut job as a professor.

How would you like it if people said we should ban the nun's habit? Or the Jew's yamica? Yeah, that's not as kosher.

You are just petty, paranoid people who are afraid of anyone who is different than you. You should actually be glad the rest of the world is not like America. We would have run out of resources decades ago. Our planet cannot afford 6 billion people living like Americans -- eating 100 pounds of beef a year and driving in Hummers (which is exactly why we have to kiss Middle East tukkus)

One of the things I enjoy about Middle Eastern culture is the food. Daniel Pipes refers to it as smelly. Yes, it's not as delicious as gefilte fish, a true delicacy. But the Islamic diet is actually healthy -- hummus, taboli, lean kababs. I see far less obese Muslims. Overall, I think the Muslim faith does have good things to offer the developing world -- rules, discipline, etc. If you look at how it has helped many black Americans overcome drug addiction and reduce prison recidivism -- it's far better than Christianity and Judaism in that respect. A good read is Alex Haley's "The Autobiography of Malcom X". It may be a tough read for Caucasians at first, but if you hang in there, he has a revelation when he visits Mecca and meets Caucasian Muslims, and learns that Whitey ain't so bad after all.

All of this intellectual dishonesty has inspired me to create a satirical blog. I will mirror the right-wing ethnocentrist attacks on the Irish, Italians, Swedes, Polish, Japanese, Latinos, Muslims, (fill in the blank with who's next -- Inuits?) over time. Instead of picking on these groups, I will satirically scapegoat frat boys as the root of all evil that must be stopped.

The funny thing is that it is just about as true as any xenophobic vitriol. The only rapists and aggressive hate mongers I know are frat boys.

So instead of banning the Burka, we can talk about banning baseball caps, Timberland boots, or Hootie & The Blowfish records.

I could go on and on. It would be nice to do this with Zionists, however I am afraid of the retribution. They all carry Uzi's and wear combat fatigues. They'll box me with their feet just like Adam Sandler.

Frat boys are perpetually drunk and engaged in perverse rape of unconscious women, so they won't notice... They don't really know how to use a computer anyway, so they won't discover it. It's a pretty safe group of people to smear from a distance, much like rednecks in the U.S. smear Muslims who they have never ever met other than the same group of 50 irate, flag-burning protesters that is continually looped on Fox news.

Zakat is the third Pillar of Islam and very important to the Islamists' among us.

I pulled out my handy Reliance of the Traveller and there are 30 pages of Islamic legal requirements for Zakat/Charity. Adelman is right that Zakat can legally be given to those fighting or supporting Jihadist warfare against Non-Muslims (or the rest of the world)

The big elephant in the room most of you commenting on this article are missing is in Islamic Jurisprudence it is an obligation for Muslim's to support Jihadist war and terrorism against Non-Muslims all over the world. Defining Islamic Charity with Western culture definitions is a big mistake. Heck just try shaking the next Muslim's hand you see with your left hand and he will be so insulted you will get a very negative reaction. Everyone in the world does not like or want our freedom and liberty.In fact many of our world neighbors wants to see the USA destroyed by peaceful or violent means. The world is a very dangerous place. If your non-muslim just try to step your infidel fotd on Meccan soil and you will be arrested. That is the equivalent of arresting a Muslim for stepping foot in Washington DC or the Vatican.

Truevoice did you forget your meds today?
The US has not lost one soldier defending Israel. We have however lost soldiers defending the Muslim population in Kosovo and again in Kuwait once again defending Muslim populations. Israel has never needed our help, they have successfully defended their nation from all of the middle east on several occasions.
We are in Iraq and Afghanistan in response of Muslim aggression against our country, not Israel.
We will never go to war with China. One cannot kill off your largest trading partner and survive the conflict.
You sir are as anti-semantic as any person I have ever met or even read about.

The U.S. and the Western world have spent trillions of dollars defending Israel. old82ndguy, have you lost your reading glasses? I never said we have fought for Israel (well... WWII had something to do with the creation of Israel), however people like Daniel Pipes and Zionists are trying to egg on a war between Islam and the West, where no such conflict truly exists, apart from a minority of vocal extremists on both sides. If this happens, Israel will not pony up one soldier or let us set foot on their soil. A handful of extremist Jews are trying to depict all Muslims are inherently evil and bent on world domination so that they can feel safe in the Middle East. If we need WWIII to protect the Jews again, I think we may want to consider pulling the plug on Israel. The reason why the terrorists keep attacking us are first and foremost our support for Israel, and second, our military presence in the Middle East. This costs taxpayers like me, who are in a high tax bracket, a lot of money. I want to see this money going to fixing infrastructure and making America great, and not sending our poor kids and minorities off to fight someone else's war (again). I am the true American. The rest of you seem to care more about Israel. Most Americans are middle class, and we're not represented at all. We get screwed by interest groups from having the society we deserve -- one where our education (K - college), health care, and safety net are created from our tax money. We need some defense, but we don't need decades of war that bankrupt our nation. This is not in the interest of the majority of Americans, and the majority have been opposed to the wars since 2005, yet both parties refuse to end it.

Most Americans will not buy into the anti-Muslim propeganda. This is why people like Daniel Pipes are directing their propeganda towards Denmark, in particular. In that nation, the culture clash between a 5% Muslim population and 95% Caucasians that all look the same. The United States, the great mixing pot, has had problems with every immigrant group. What people like Pipes is doing with the Muslims is eerily similar to the Japanese -- they are suicidal maniacs (hari kari and kamakazi are true, but again, not all Japanese do that) and the Japanese Americans must be interred. Pipes also advocates interring Muslim Americans. Is he going to pay the reparations 20 years from now? Tax payer will pay it. The policy that Daniel Pipes advocates is all very expensive -- global wars against Islam, interring Muslims... His wikipedia article does say he wasn't smart enough to be a math professor, and now I see it. We will have a $1.6 trillion deficit, and he wants us to be in yet another war, because he feels Muslims are a threat to Jews. Then he tries to sell them as a threat to the world so we all get fooled and buy into WW III.

A great portion of this web site is dedicated to this deception. They are propagandists who falsify information. Daniel Pipes, is an "academic" who doesn't seem to have a lot of footnotes and tends to fabricate statistics. He says that 85% of Muslims are "Islamicists" -- a term he cannot define and the 85% is based on anecdotal evidence. The State Department called him on this! He says that the Muslims want to replace the Constitution with the Koran. But when it comes down to it, you hear him admit -- Muslims are a threat to American and European (specifically Danish) Jews.

I know a lot of Christians that want prayer in school, which goes against the Constitutional separation of church and state. We have our own Jihadists, but we call them "Evangelical". Christians dominate the world, and Pipes is trying to say the Muslims will wage war and impose Islam on the world? He sure must miss the Cold War! That's even more paranoid than a neo-realist on a coke binge. I don't think he believes it himself. As a fraudulent academic, it's par for the course to mislead. Thou shalt not bear false witness, Daniel. Even if it gets you a fellowship at the Hoover Institution.

Of course you will find Muslims who say that, much like you will find Pat Robertson saying the Haitians deserved their earthquake. Pat Robertson even ran for President. It's scary the kind of following he has. What I don't see, in a lot of research, is any compelling evidence that most Muslims are warlike and intend to dominate the world and spread their religion through warfare. Unfortunately, anything I find in favor of this tends to lead back to Zionist sources, usually Daniel Pipes. He's spread his hate seed throughout the internet, and the sad thing is -- he has created angry people who have beat up Muslims, under the misdirection of his fabricated data.

I suspect that Daniel Pearl was killed because he was confused with Daniel Pipes. I have as much proof of this as Pipes has of anything -- no proof. I just find it a weird coincidence -- their names are so similar, and why would they kill some liberal journalist and not a world-renown anti-Muslim? I have no proof of this -- I simply suspect it, but at least I admit my lack of evidence. It could just be a coincidence...

Yes, we waged war in Kosovo to protect Bosnian Muslims from ethnic cleansing. Most of it was bombing. The military presence was more multi-lateral, done with UN troops (yes, a lot were Americans).

We went to war in Iraq and Kuwait to protect our oil interests from Saddam Hussein -- a secular, not a Muslim, yet people like Daniel Pipes and the Zionists claim that Islam is an evil and warlike faith.

Kuwait is a dictatorship -- we did not go there to protect their freedom. If we were interested in protecting freedom, we'd be in Tibet, but the Chinese would mop the floor with us, especially with our $1.6 trillion deficit and a military with worn out gear and overextended from almost a decade of warfare.

I agree 100% that the U.S. government and foreign policy is not anti-Muslim. We are allies with Saudi Arabia and have military bases there. As you mention, we have defended Muslims and we have also pumped trillions of dollars into Israel, sold them weapons, etc.

The problem is that some conservatives are trying to take advantage of 9-11 and other terrorist attacks and present a case that the majority of the Muslim world is out to get us and it's just a mater of time. This is intellectually dishonest and xenophobic. Anyone who has met a few Muslims knows this is true. Most of them are just regular folks, working their job and going home to their families. Every Muslim I know is like this, and unlike the stock footage of 50 irate protesters burning the American flag.

In terms of invading nations, the U.S. does it the most. As bad as Saddam Hussein was, now the region is destabilized -- he kept Iran in check. Now we have to be in Iraq for a long time, or take out Iran. I sure hope all that oil is worth it. Now that $2-something for gas is really more like $10-15, when you factor in what you pay in tax for the war to fill your gas tank.

In terms of Muslims being war-like, the only recent incident I can think of is East Timor, where the Indonesians, supplied with American weaponry, waged a genocidal war against the native inhabitants and wiped them out. That's bad. I don't think it was because Indonesians are Muslims -- it had more to do with gaining resources. They felt the indigenous people were in the way. Americans would never ever do that to their native people, right?

Israel has launched incursions into a few Islamic nations and Gaza. Israel does not allow Islamic nations -- not even Indonesia and Malaysia, to have embassies and they have no relations with these nations. So there is no way Zionists can burn down the Saudi Arabian embassy in Tel Aviv over anti-semetic cartoons -- because there isn't one. It's not allowed! There are Danish, U.S., and European embassies all throughout the Muslim world -- they do tolerate infidels -- even their military bases. The Catholic Church is even working on building a church in Saudi Arabia. They have one in Qatar. The problem is, those Muslims, who believe Christ was a profit, want the Catholic Church to admit that Mohammed was a profit. It's hard to tell who is more stubborn. Quite honestly, I am not religious and I think this is incredibly stupid.

Israel is simply an intolerant nation. Even France banned Israeli citizens for some time in the 90s, due to their human rights abuses.

I'm assuming your accusation is that I am anti-semetic, and not anti-semantic. I have a lot of Jewish friends who think what the Israelis are doing is intolerant and embarrassing, and it has caused them to distance themselves from Judaism. I love Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Woody Allen movies. These are the Jews I love -- intellectuals and moderates. I do not like extremists of any sort -- Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists. In Sri Lanka, Buddhist extremists are suicide bombers, but you won't see that on Fox news. You'd have to actually watch PBS.

What's new? Democrats lie about health care, ending wars, and rooting for the middle class. Republicans lie about ending illegal immigration and their promises to evangelicals (remember what Carl Rove said about them?). Both parties do the work of interest groups, who want war, illegal immigration and corporate welfare.

I studied IR, and most theorists feel that after the Cold War, the next biggest threats to hegemonic stability are terrorism and China. In the purest, systemic view -- as China grows into a super power, we move from a unipolar world to a bipolar world. This creates instability.

China could destroy us with their military if they wanted to. However, the notion that we will never go to war with China because we're great trading partners is bunk. We'd have to buy their stuff if we were annexed by China. They would have access to vast amounts of land and natural resources -- particularly fresh water, which is growing scarce.

So far, what I learned about terrorism is true. When I explained this to lay people in the mid 90s, they told me I was wrong and now that the Soviet Union is gone, we will all live in peace, except for a few minor skirmishes. Even with Russia, things have not resolved well, and there is controversy as to whether our missiles and missile defense systems are pointed/intended for them.

Things can change pretty fast, and the fact is, we don't get along that well with China. They're not buying our debt out of charity or good will. They have a nice leash and collar on us now. While we dwindle our resources battling a war to obtain resources and fight off the backlash of our Middle East foreign policy, the Chinese are sitting back, licking their chops.

If you Google it, you'll find people across the political spectrum who argue that we are just weakening ourselves vis-a-vis the Chinese. Barak Obama used to say this in speeches, but now he supports the wars that Bush started. I read a lot of criticism on this site about Obama, but other than partisan politics, he's pretty much a conservative, even if you compare him to Eisenhower.

Anyone who has studied political economy knows that many scholars feel the two parties are the same, their differences are merely rhetorical. They pander to voters on false issues and just do the bidding of interest groups who give them the money to lie to us more. They say it much less cynically, but they also like to use the Tweedledum vs. Tweedledee comparison.

The Quran and the prophets Ahadith are the best Sources for information on Islam. All other books go back to individual interpretations and are heavenly influenced by geography and traditions. No way can you compare the islam practiced in KSA, Iran, Sudan, and Pakistan. Even though the five pillars of islam are common, but many other 'rules' are influenced by different factors.

Anyway, my point about Islam over running Europe is a fact not a wish !! Simple figures my friend. population growth, so like it or not you will have to live with it. Islamic sharia laws to muslims are set by god. Like christians and jews, god gave them similar laws to follow. But because they gave to follow them by the book or change some to suit their ways. Doesnt mean we have to. Its a simple divide of those who believe in god and the end of days and those of you who want to live life to the fullest. Time will tell, but i would love to see the expressions on all your faces when that day comes. Will see who has the last laugh.

The Wars that one replier claims are always involoving muslims is the simple fact. YOU attack Us. You greedy colonial mentality is the reason. I am starting to agree with you about the Muslim problem, but you have to understand, I am slow, so I need to catch up on my homeland security knowledge.

I am still stuck on the Japanese, and in lieu of the Toyota recall, it's clear they are trying to destroy Western civilization.

The Japanese are suicidal maniacs -- they have practices like hari kari and kamikaze pilots. They are so bent on destroying Westerners, they would gladly sacrifice their own lives to take out a group of Westerners with their Mitsubishi Zero. Then I see you traitors driving around in your Hondas, Toyotas, and Mitsubishis. It's awful. Why don't you buy a great American car like a Buick Skylark! Not only stylish, but well made -- you can get a good 30,000 miles out of one of those. These Japanese cracker-boxes! I hate them.

This week we are having a gathering in Detroit to voice our digust with Japanese flooding our markets with their cheap goods. We're going to put some Hall and Oates on the "ghetto blaster" and smash some Japanese cars, and they we're going to have a fun team building event -- we're going to a showing of Ghost Busters, this new and exciting Ivan Rietman movie! Who you gonna call?

The motive of the Japanese is to replace all Westerners with robots. This is why Assimo is a white robot. It's insulting -- they assume all white people are just robots and can be replaced. I think it's time to consider interrment of the Japanese again. We should have never let them out in the first place. It was actually Japanese Americans that did the Pearl Harbor attack. 7 out of 4 of the Pearl Harbor bombers were American citizens! They infiltrated our society!

You may find this satirical, but I am dead serious. I still think the Japanese are a huge threat to us. You think that accelerator bug in the Toyota was an accident, but it is a blatant attempt to kill Westerners, en masse. They won't stop there. Your flat screen TV has a secret camera built in. Why do you think all the new TVs connect to the internet? They're spying on you! They wait until you go to work, and they break into your home and re-arrange the furniture. It sounds innocuous, but much like Chinese water torture, it is designed to slowly madden the victim through small fits of confusion.... "I thought I put my dreidel in the inside the storage compartment of my ottoman, but it's under this futon!" Yes -- when that happens, it was the Japanese.

Their food is disgusting. Raw fish? Come on -- the best fish is gifilte fish. Terriyaki is just foul smelling. And you go to these restaurants and it's clear they just don't want to fit in -- they're wearing their headbands and kimonos. We need to BAN THE KIMONO! They're hiding poison nun-chucks under their kimonos -- the poison found in their deadly puffer fish, which they sell to unsuspecting Western customers. How many more of us need to die from Sushi poisoning, before our government does something about it!

After I get through my Japanese hatred, I'm still not ready for Muslim bashing. I have to catch up on Latino bashing.

They sneak across the border in packs, like Chihuahuas. They bring illegal drugs into our nation and poison our children by force feeding them drugs. 93% of drug addicts in the U.S. were force fed drugs by the Frito Bandito. It's true! They take all of our jobs, and if that isn't enough, they take all of our welfare money too.

The most alarming development is the convergence of Japanese, Latino, and Muslim hate groups -- they're all working together. Thanks for filling me in on these developments with Islam and Muslims. Since 60% of my hatred is geared towards Japanese, and 55% is pointed straight at Mexico, I can only dedicate 23% of my time to anti-Islam activities.

I still think the Japanese are higher prioritites. I mean, have you seen that new Michael Keaton movie "Gung Ho"? They're going to make us exercise before work and swim in a cold river! It is the right of all Americans to be obese -- it's good for our economy. Angioplasties and triple bypass surgeries generate money for our economy, and no Japanese traitor is going to feed me vegetables and small strips of meat and make me exercise. No way! I ate the 72oz steak, and I can tell you that 1 pound of meat is a lot to eat, but I ate it all.

Oh, the Asians think they are so great at math, but it was actually the Israelites who came up with our modern day number system and Algebra too. I urge you to ditch your Toyota and buy a 2010 Schlomo convertible. It's what Joe Lieberman drives, and everyone knows his Droopy Dog impression is the best around. He was also the inspiration for Milton Waddams from Office Space and various other Mike Judge projects.

Anyway, how about we divide and conquer? I only have so much hate, so how about you guys stick with Muslims, and I'll stick with Japanese and Latinos. After we have obliterated Japan and La Raza, I'll join you against the Muslims, full on.

Now we have to think about the future. I think Inuits have really gotten off pretty clean, but they are sick. They eat blubber! That's just disgusting. What kind of people live in the snow! Frosty the Nanook Evil menace! I'm telling you, these Inuits are the next challenge to the Judeo-Christians.

Why can't we all get along like Jews and Christians? We're the lion and the lamb, laying together in peace. The rest of the world are savages, but our Judeo Christian tradition is superior. Responding to Sam -- I really doubt you Muslims will take over Europe or the world. I think you are buying into the neo-con argument. Christians are half of the world. The ones who will really take over the world are secularites. We see how foolish you all are -- Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Satanists, etc. The fastest growing religion is no religion. You've ruined it for us -- there is nothing much good at all. You've created more conflict and hate than love and peace. We see you're all pandering for your holy books and you think your farts smell better than everyone else's but it all stinks to a lot of us.

If you do a quick search, you will find neo-cons are already saying that the growth of secularism is causing moral decay. Perhaps we are the next Japs, Spics, or Mooslams? Yes, it's true, I can't live up to the high moral standards of Jim Baker, Pat Robertson, and all of the conservative family values people who have their head in between the legs of various prostitutes. That's some real great moral direction.

Also, whenever there is a natural disaster, it gives me great comfort and solace to say that it was God who willed this, and people deserve it. The Haitians and Chileans deserve their earthquakes -- they are sinners. NYC deserved 9/11, because "they killed Christ". Ah, such great moral direction, it's a puzzle why people are abandoning religion and "no religion" is the fastest growing religion.

If you look at Denmark, which seems to be a battlefield in the war against Islam, only 3% of Danes go to Church regularly, but they are a Christian nation with an official state church. 97% of them are really secular. I bet if Hasidic Jews were 5% of the Danish population, they would get along just fine, right? The Hasidic Jews would quickly assimilate into Danish culture, and would be eating frikadeller and medisterpølse (pork meatballs and sausage), shave their beards, get a "football" buzz cut, and drive around in an Opel, even on the Sabbath. If you're looking for the people who fit into any society -- the best assimilators -- it is the Hasidic Jew. You would never see them all in one concentrated area, say, like in a ghetto. The word ghetto actually comes from the TV show Good Times -- it was Jimmy Walker ("dynomite!") who came up with the term ghetto... This is true, only blacks, Muslims and Latinos live in ghettos. Well, Latinos live in barrios.

If I were a rich man, I would deedle deedle deedle on the Danish welfare system, all day long... Of course not. They would create new industries and usher in a new era or prosperity in Denmark. Without going into the details of your article i would like to highlight my experience with islamic financing or car ijarah to be specific. I leased a car under sharia financing from an islamic bank. i must say the structure of the car ijarah is very satisfying to me when i compare it with the traditional car financing. 1. The first insatllment i had to pay was after i used the car for one month (rental) - so i saved my liquidity for one month. 2. if car is stolen or broken there will be no more rentals to be paid to the bank. The advance i gave shall be repaid to me in case i cannot continue to pay the rentals for any reason. At the end of all the rental payments i would have the option to get the car without paying anything extra.
Compare it with car financing from a commercial bank and you would realize that THEY DON'T CARE what happens to the car, all they want is pay the rentals. The reason being that in car ijarah the car is owned by the bank and is given on rent.
So make up your own mind which is more beneficial and justifiable for both the parties.
