Exclusive: Glenn Beck – Less than Half the Battle

My February 23rd column criticizing some of Glenn Beck’s overwrought rhetoric drew a large number of comments. Most of them simply said that they agreed with Beck’s criticism of liberalism and his opposition to the socialist direction of current policy, and that I should not be turning on an ally in the ideological struggle for America’s future. All well and good. I also agree with most (though not all) of Beck’s analysis of the wild deficit spending and unjustified expansion of government control over large parts of society. I also reject the radical notions about human nature and moral values at the core of left-wing philosophy.
 
My point about Beck, however, remains. Mere criticism of the left is not enough, and wild rants against “government” are dangerous. To build a conservative movement capable of leading the premier civilization of our time and the world’s only Superpower requires a positive vision of government’s role in national affairs.
 
I am not the only conservative to raise this issue. On the same day my FSM column appeared, radio host Mark Levin jumped on Beck's performance at the Conservative Action Conference. I would agree with this part of Levin's comment,
 
I have no idea what philosophy Glenn Beck is promoting. And neither does he. It's incoherent. One day it's populist, the next it's libertarian bordering on anarchy, next it's conservative but not really, etc. And to what end? I believe he has announced that he is no longer going to endorse candidates because our problems are bigger than politics. Well, of course, our problems are not easily dissected into categories, but to reject politics is to reject the manner in which we try to organize ourselves. This is as old as Plato and Aristotle. Why would conservatives choose to surrender the political battlefield to our adversaries -- who are trashing this society – when we must retake it in order to preserve our society? Philosophy, politics, culture, family, etc., are all of one. Edmund Burke, among others, wrote about it extensively, and far better that I possibly can. But all elements of the civil society require our defense.
 
What I would make more explicit is that when we talk about "politics" we are talking about the use of government authority and power to promote some end. Conservatives have broader values that give its movement content, whereas libertarians tend to avoid content. Whatever "freedom" produces is okay with them. But there is a line between liberty and license. Conservatives draw that line based on what is good for society. Beck often acts as if to worry about the national community is something only “socialists” do. This equates conservatism with irresponsibility, which is not a winning platform.
 
For example, on the day my column appeared, Beck attacked President Teddy Roosevelt for having established the Food and Drug Administration. This was another example of Beck’s sloppy research, as the FDA did not take on that name until 1930 during the Hoover administration. What Beck was really criticizing was the passage of the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906, which TR signed. But is it really a Marxist notion to prohibit from interstate commerce adulterated, misbranded, or unsafe food and drugs? The root of this regulatory idea goes back to the Patent Office in 1846 and the Department of Agriculture under the Lincoln administration. Does Beck really think Americans don’t want their health and safety protected from dangerous products? Haven’t we had enough recent scares from poisonous imports from China?
 
Making “government” the generic enemy, rather than specific acts judged on their merits, is not just intellectually lazy, it is foolish. How many libertarians does it take to change a light bulb? None. They just sit in the dark and wait for the “invisible hand” to do it for them. And it is a long wait. The failure of strong, effective government to perform its core duties will alienate nearly everyone. It will also lead to corruption if officials lack any sense of higher public mission to offset the blandishments of lobbyists to only serve private interests. 
 
The renowned economic thinker Joseph Schumpeter feared that the collapse of a genuinely conservative politics would create a vacuum in which socialism would triumph. Schumpeter had fled his native Austria to escape the Nazis, and after a stay in England came to the United States. He joined the faculty at Harvard and became the president of the American Economic Association. He is known for his theory of “creative destruction” which describes the dynamic character of economic progress. He defended the rise of “big business” because large resources are needed to support technological advancement. He also saw the entrepreneur as the driving force in a modern economy.
 
There was no question in his mind that capitalism could outperform socialism, but the choice of systems would be made in the political realm, and even in democratic states he feared that socialism had the edge. He laid out his argument in his 1942 masterpiece Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy, written at a time when the totalitarian threats of the Nazis and Soviets loomed large.
 
Schumpeter feared that capitalism’s very success would be its downfall. He worried the country would become so dominated by business interests that other social and cultural institutions, the ones that give a civilization its enduring values, would wither and die. Not only would this leave the general population feeling empty and alienated, it would deny society a leadership class capable of thinking in the broader terms needed to sustain the nation. A decisive victory by Wall Street over competing centers of belief and authority would destroy “the steel frame” that holds society together. And into the cultural and political void would march the Left promising to restore stability and order.
 
Schumpeter felt the bourgeois class "is ill equipped to face the problems, both domestic and international, that have normally to be faced by a country of any importance.” He noted “The stock exchange is a poor substitute for the Holy Grail....the ledger and the cost calculation absorb and confine.” And Schumpeter also found throughout history “the merchant republic invariably failed in the great game of international politics.” He had just seen the dismal display of appeasement that had been put on by the capitalist democracies in the face of Nazi Germany (and repeated many times since).
 
It is the necessary role of government to exercise authority on behalf of the national community, and to bring the ambitions of business within its charge. Otherwise, capitalism will destroy itself. To do this, government should be sympathetic to the legitimate needs of business while at the same time insulated from business pressure so as not to become compromised or corrupted. Short-sighted business groups are opposed to conservatives thinking about anything but their material gains. The role of libertarians within the conservative movement has been to prevent conservatives from using state power to uphold the “steel frame” of civil society.
 
Since the left has no such constraint on its use of "politics" (state power) to advance its agenda, there has been a ratchet effect in the direction of social decay even though the public does not want to go this route. Hence Schumpeter’s pessimism.
 
Beck is on a libertarian jag. He wants to stop the left, but does not want to advance the right, at least not a movement with a comprehensive view of a society worth conserving. This is why he keeps picking on Teddy Roosevelt. It is not because TR was some sort of left-wing “progressive” as Beck erroneously claims. That is nonsense. It is because TR is the kind of conservative leader libertarians cannot stand. A man of principle and vision who called for a “New Nationalism” modeled on the ambitions of the Founding Fathers for a “more perfect union” as the basis of a great American civilization. Winston Churchill and Ronald Reagan were in the same mold. It is cohesion, not anarchy that America needs if it is to avoid Schumpeter’s grim prediction.

I watch Glenn Beck every night, I agree with Beck on almost everything, and then there are the few things that he says that makes me cringe sometimes. I contend however, that had it not been for Glenn Beck, and his extremely successful move to FOXNews, America would still be sound asleep. I think credit should be given where credit is due, and Beck deserves a few accolades for his work. I appreciate Mark Levin, and his work also, but let's face it, neither Levin, or yourself for that matter have the exposure required to wake up this sleeping America. Let's just keep in mind, that no one is perfect, no one can be absolutely correct, and everyone makes mistakes, and errs in judgement, even us.

I agree that Beck has done much to bring to the attention of Americans the danger of an ever expanding government. the deeper message I get from Beck is that he sees no role for government at all. It is incumbant on the government to create the conditions and atmosphere that promote civil society and ordered liberty. These are consevative concepts that Beck, as a libertarian, disagrees with. I find Beck's rhetoric dangerous precisely because he relentlessly promotes the viability of the Libertarian party- read Ron Paul. If his rhetoric is successful, and he has enough supporters to make that possible, the conservative vote will be split and the democrats will win another election. Beck will succeed in destroying the very thing he is seeking to preserve.

I totally agree with above posters that Glenn Beck is waking up American to the ever growing government and dangers of what is going on in the White House and government and how we've strayed from the Founding Fathers' beliefs and our Constitution. He has always said he is libertarian (but we can see he has many conservative beliefs and strong beliefs in the U.S. Constitution and beliefs of our founding fathers).

However, you INCORRECTLY state:

TR was a progressive. He originally ran as a Republican and virtually dictated the nomination of presidential successor, William Howard Taft, but after Pres. Taft alienated the progressive Republicans, including TR --the Republican party was threatened by a split over the presidential
nomination. In 1912, Roosevelt put his name forward to become the Republican
Party's nominee again. The Party chose to stick with Taft. This angered Roosevelt who walked out of the convention and
then formed his own party, the Progressive Party (also called the Bull Moose Party)in protest. True to Roosevelt's progressive beliefs, the platform of the party called for major reforms including women's suffrage,
social welfare assistance for women and children, farm relief, limited injunctions in strikes, revisions in banking to insure
an elastic currency, required health insurance in industries, workers compensation, new inheritances taxes and income taxes,
improvement of inland waterways and limitation of naval armaments. The Progressive Party was based around New
Nationalism, which was a belief in a strong government to regulate industry and protect the middle and working classes.
The party also wanted an easier method to amend the constitution."

Of course some of these progressive policies in 1912 were needed (women's suffrage, welfare for women and children who had little protections at the time and some needed regulation), FDR and today's Progressives have gone overboard to overregulation and attempted government takeover of 1/6 of our economy. They don't care what the people want.

Beck is doing our country a great service.

While I agree that GB has done a terrific job informing the public about abuses in government, he has definitely been turning me off recently. For me, he dropped the straw that broke the camel's back yesterday when he intimated that Geert Wilders is a fascist. The only man in all of Europe standing up for free speech and beck tries to stigmatize him as a fascist. Looks to me like he's doing a shill job for daddy awalide bin talal!!
Never thought I'd see the day when fox news was a tool of saudi wahhabism!!
FYI: Most of beck's stories come from world net daily anyway. They break them, he trumpets them and takes the credit. Save yourself from having to hear him bloviate and go to wnd.com and get the story yourself!!

Beck, is an entertainer. That really is the basis of his show. To entertain either by shock and aw, or some off the wall rant. Fox is now on my do not watch list, since they have sold out to the Islamist. No one on Fox can now be trusted to put out the truth, at least when it comes to Islam.

I respectfully dissent from Prof. Hawkins quip that no number of libertarians are required to change a light bulb because they are sitting in the dark waiting for the unseen hand to do it.
In fact, there is no lighting system because no one put one in to begin with....:-)

I appreciate that Glenn shares info in a 'hey, I'm jus' sayin'' kinda way and then leaves the individual to do the research necessary to form an opinion (that's how he comes off to me, anyway). I thought I WAS awake, but I was actually dozing, so for the prodding, I AM grateful! Thank-you, Glenn Beck! (Which is what I think his goal was?)

Be specific on government actions and not in general oppose government?
How about:
-massive debt that will never be paid off... and more coming
-proposed health care for another trillion
-proposed budget of 3 more trillion ..not balanced budget
-bailouts and cash porkulus instead of loans and tax cuts to stimulate
-support of global warming to set up taxes while data suporting this is proven shoddy
-bowing to foreign rulers, apologizing for USA ad naseum
-etc etc etc

Glenn Beck has the potential to be a conservative hero.

Unfortunately he is becoming more like Obama all the time - this morning he condemed Ted Turner because of his huge land purchases - I too resent Turner but he earned his money in the free enterprise system, he is a very successful capitalist.
Glenn pretends to be a capitalist but only if it suits his agenda.
I sometimes wonder if his rants even toward his own staff don't show more of his real character than he pretends.

It is a blessing for this nation that someone, in this case Glenn Beck, will stand up and speak of the anti-American evil that our leadership class has perpetrated against us in recent years. Illegal immigration, out of control debt, corruption bordering on insane, lack of a common sense energy policy etc., that is what both republicans and democrats have given us.

If republicans or so called conservatives had any credibility and moral courage amongst them there would not have been a void for Beck to fill.

And what about all the land the Federal government keeps taking control of? Republicans keep voting to allow this. For example look at Newt Gingrich and Alaska.

I believe Beck is an important voice within the conservative movement, but he is not the only voice. Also, from what I've seen, Beck always backs up his assertions with facts and checkable references. I'm behind the times, I guess, since I believe we conservatives should not attack one another -- our attacks should be reserved for the meanspirited liberal-left, Marxist, Maost progressives.

Glenn is no anarchist - he has made that clear in his blackboard diagram of the spectrum of freedom versus oppression. The Founding Fathers were neither anarchists or libertarians - in fact, the term "American Revolution" is a misnomer, because we were never without a government during the transition from one ordered society to another.

I agree that to simply be "against Government" is foolish and inadequate, but I have never seen Glenn Beck espouse that kind of nonsense. He does heroically valuable service.

I am one of those critics who owe Mr. Hawkins an apology.

I don't want to speak about domestic fiscal and societal matters except to say, I have been studying one of Theodore Roosevelt's biographers. Roosevelt and the reforms he supported are not as simple as Beck makes them to be. Roosevelt is a mixed bag. He did some good things and some not so good things. Because I am not a laissez faire conservative, I believe government has a role in regulating bad behavior, especially on the part of large corporations that exploit the weak and the defenseless, such as children. In this and other regulatory respects, Roosevelt is to be commended.

But that is not why I owe Mr. Hawkins an apology. I wrote on his earlier piece:

"I cannot say I am intimately familiar with every one of Glenn Beck's positions. On foreign policy and domestic security, unlike many of our Republican party leaders and activists, Beck seems to know the enemy...."

My goodness, I could not have been more wrong about Beck! This hatchet job Beck - along with Charles Krauthammer and William Kristol - did the other evening on a true hero is and was appalling.

What these three supine men did to Dutch politician, Geert Wilders cannot be forgiven.

I am sorry Mr. Hawkins, Glenn Beck has proven that he knows nothing about the enemy we face.

I agree with Mr. Hawkins. It's time to move beyond "ranting" and to talk solutions.

Here are my thoughts on the subject.

Lawful government; a lost cause or restorable?

Let’s look at some facts. If you disagree with them, save your time and read no further.

Fact - The history of America’s Constitutionalist’s movement is one of failure by thousands of organizations and millions of individuals trying to unilaterally redirect America’s ‘ship of state. This approach hasn’t worked and won’t work! The need is for unity on actions of common interest through a concept and communications system assuring everyone retains their freedom to pursue their special interests.

Fact - Though most Americans agree with the 11-22-94 Republican governors allegation saying "Federal action has exceeded the clear bounds of its jurisdiction under the Constitution and thus violated rights guaranteed the people," the socialists bent on destroying America’s culture and lawful form of government haven’t been deterred and are winning for lack of an organized resistance.

Fact - America, whose lawful foundation is biblically inspired, has lost its moral compass and come under judgment.

Fact - a failure to plan is a plan to fail!” Voters must begin with a plan built on solid principles and a concept fostering unity on meaningful actions of common interest in lieu of the many plans being pursued that are responsible for a lot of activity but little progress.

Fact - Vital features of a sensible plan must include: 1. key items forming a foundation for unity; 2. identification of the major objectives lying on the goal’s critical path; 3. available options for gaining control of the Federal government and 4. a strategy allowing people to function as a team in pursuing actions of common interest while retaining their freedom to pursue their special interests.

A Foundation for unity consists of agreement on a few essential truths and core beliefs, a clear statement of America’s problem, and a common goal.

> "Until we abandon our manifold private agendas and unite, we will merely be hapless observers standing at the bottom of a dark, deep pit, wistfully hoping to save the world, but really doing little more than breaking the fall of compatriots who are pushed in on top of us….;” Medori Severi

> To be lawful, government must comply with principles and policies set forth in the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights when interpreted in the spirit and intent of America’s founders and all laws must be in support of life, liberty and happiness for Americans.

> States created the federal government as their AGENT. As principals to the Constitution and under the Law of Agency, States possess the ultimate authority and responsibility for its proper interpretation and implementation .

> The Constitution's 10th Amendment stating "the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution .... are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people" provides incontestable evidence that the only lawful powers of the Federal Government are those specified in the Constitution.

> The U. S. Supreme Court was correct in saying:
a. "This Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty" and “it would be manifestly contrary to the objectives of those who created the Constitution, let alone alien to our Constitutional history and tradition to construe Article 6 as permitting the United States to exercise power under an international agreement without observing Constitutional prohibitions.” (Reid vs Covert)
b. "a law repugnant to the Constitution is void." (Marbury vs Madison)
c. "Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making legislation which would abrogate them." (Miranda vs Arizona)

America’s problem - America’s problem has been defined in many ways. Three having merit are:

1. America is under judgment for people’s failure to recognize the importance of - and abide by James 4:17; “to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
2. America has been and continues to be deliberately, systematically, pervasively and unconstitutionally mismanaged on behalf of a financial/industrial cartel seeking a New World Order.
3. "Federal action has exceeded the clear bounds of its jurisdiction under the Constitution and thus violated rights guaranteed the people." (by thirty governors)

Though spiritual in nature, America’s problem will only respond to a political solution and can’t be solved by only addressing its symptoms. The solution must begin with individual and a national repentance followed by responsible action from state legislatures.

Goal - The pledge by thirty Republican governors “To restore to the states and the people the prerogatives and freedoms guaranteed them by the Constitution” is a satisfactory goal that should be shared by every patriotic American.

The 2nd step in restoring lawful government is to identify important objectives on the goal’s critical path. The foremost objective must be to gain control of the Federal government. Doing so will require Americans: 1. repent; 2. retain the Constitution; 3. gain the support of America's law enforcement personnel (military and civilian); 4. develop a communications system (CS) and use it to create an undeniable political force (team) capable of gaining control of the Federal government.

Peacefully satisfying these objectives is contingent on:
> educating voters on the need to repent and to stop supporting incorporated “churches” (businesses) that are in defiance of the 1st Commandment.
> “we the concerned” having access to a communications system tailored to our need.
> countering threats having potential to eliminate our states and/or existing Constitution.
> establishing a liaison with all law enforcement personnel in every political precinct.
> restoring viability to the grand juries authorized by our Constitution’s 5th Amendment.
> assuring proper access to, and the integrity of, the ballot box.
> gaining control of all significant political parties via the Precinct Project.
> getting states to recognize and exercise their lawful authority as Principals to the Constitution.
> locating funds to support the effort to Take America Back to its lawful foundation.

Upon gaining control of the Federal government, priority actions must include:

> render State Dept. Publication 7277 calling for disarming Americans null and void.

> re-establish America’s sovereignty by recognizing and terminating it’s unconstitutional affiliation with the United Nations (see PL 313 dated 4/14/1952) and rejecting several Treaties purported to lawfully merge America into the New World Order defined at http://www.thecnc.org/Documents/Unconstitutional.htm.

> repeal the Emergency Banking Act of 3-9-1933 that:
a: converted Americans into enemies of the Federal government;
b: permits the President to assume the role of a dictator ruling by Executive Orders, signing statements, Presidential Decision Directives and other unconstitutional acts; and
c: allegedly set aside our Constitution and placed America under maritime rule.

> recognize the fraud of the 17th amendment and take action to correct the results of it.

> plan and implement a National Economic Recovery Program having these key caveats:
* return to a non interest bearing, non repayable medium of exchange meeting the spirit of Art. 1, Sec. 8:5 of the Constitution.
* abolish some and restructure the remaining un payable debt resulting from our current unconstitutional monetary policy.
* return the concentrated wealth resulting from unconstitutional acts to its producers.
* reinstatement of the American System of Economic Independence.
* return to a tax system meeting constitutional intent.
* institute a program leading to America’s energy independence.

> secure America’s borders and return illegal immigrants to their country of origin.

> overhaul many of America’s domestic and foreign policies.

> educate the public on significant facts supporting the Republican governors allegation.

> resurrect the militia authorized by the 2nd Amendment.

Available boxes for peacefully gaining control of the Federal government are the “soap” and mail boxes through which to educate voters on how to efficiently and effectively use the Grand Jury, Petit Jury and ballot boxes.

Options through which to gain control of the Federal government are:

1. responsible adjudication of products from “runaway”(non government controlled) Grand Juries. (to view draft proposed bills regarding the integrity of the jury and ballot boxes go to http://www.thecnc.org/Recent.htm and scroll to the bottom of the list)

2. election of a President having the knowledge, courage, and integrity to support the Constitution.

3. inspiring State legislatures to use their lawful authority as Principals to the Constitution to assure compliance with it.

4. a massive replacement of Congressional representatives which must include the replacement of incumbent committee chairpersons with Constitutionalists.

Written information in support of these objectives has been prepared. It includes information for educating law enforcement personnel (military and civilian), the clergy, veterans, and the general public; bills directed at assuring voters access to, and the integrity of, the jury and ballot boxes (www.thecnc.org/Documents/JuryBoxIntegrity.htm and www.thecnc.org/Documents/BallotBoxIntegrityBill.htm); questionnaires designed to help educate candidates and elected officials and to determine their knowledge and willingness to honor their oath; information of importance to state officials and more.

Patriots must realize the cited goal will require ’teamwork’ by millions of Constitutionalists. A description of the needed team and its mission and functions are the subject of www.thecnc.org/Documents/1776.htm. The legal and legislative Initiative teams are operational. The legal team is coordinated by Barbara Ketay, President: U.S. Bar Association. The legislative team is coordinated by Sen. Don Rogers (R-CA). Creation of the entire TAB team is contingent on people’s willingness to accept the importance of planning and to act in accordance with the previously cited advice of Medori Severi.

COMMUNICATIONS; an essential element of success. Development of a TAB team is contingent on the availability of a communications system capable of providing:

1. A National Leadership Team and a plan’s National Implementation Team (NIT) the ability to rapidly communicate with everyone registered in the system or selected subsets thereof based on geo-political considerations.

2. the NIT and LAST (Local Area Security Team) teams the ability to rapidly reach all County Sheriffs or selected subsets thereof and LAST county coordinators.

3. the Legislative Initiative Team’s coordinator and NIT staff the ability to rapidly reach all governors and state legislators (or subsets thereof based on geopolitical considerations a and/or a stated willingness to help implement the plan.

4. the National Patriotic Media Team and NIT the ability to quickly provide information to all media outlets or subsets thereof who are willing to support the Take America Back team's effort.

5. all registrants a way to quickly communicate with one another at the political precinct, county, and/or state level.

Essential elements of a solution are:

> availability of a comprehensive and viable plan. A draft proposed plan is available and needs to be reviewed, ‘fine tuned,’ and adopted by truly concerned individuals and organizations whose only motivation is results.

> the communications system described above.

> a willingness on the part of millions of Americans to support a plan.

It’s at this point a question similar to that of whether the chicken or the egg came first emerges? If a fully functional communications system were available would Americans respond, “team up” in support of the few meaningful actions through which control of the Federal government can be achieved and financially support implementation of a plan (estimated cost = $.25/month/participant based on two million participants) or should an effort be made to identify enough people to make a difference before creating the communications system?

It’s self evident there are enough concerned Americans to implement a plan. A challenge is to unify them on a few meaningful actions. At present, they are supporting hundreds of individuals and organizations addressing a symptom of America’s problem such as immigration, our monetary and/or fiscal policies, abortion, our right to ‘keep and bear arms’, our controlled media, etc. Unfortunately, they've failed to recognize two important facts: 1. symptoms can’t be solved; only problems; and 2. Knowledge without meaningful action doesn’t equal freedom! Only by gaining control of the Federal government will important symptoms of our problem be given their rightfully deserved attention.

Many individuals and organizations profess to be pro Constitution. Some are! Some aren’t! Those who are sincere should rally around a viable plan, unite on truly meaningful actions and help fund the plan‘s implementation. Others lack sincerity and are motivated by egos and/or money; including that derived from being a part of the controlled opposition.

America's history shows many organizations were created to give people a ‘relief valve’ through which to vent their frustration and anger with government. With a little thought the reader should be able to identify many such organizations.

I believe a national conference among key leaders within the patriot movement is needed in an effort to satisfy the following purposes.

> Identify those willing to work with others in developing and executing a comprehensive action plan.

> identify who can best fulfill each objective on the goal’s critical path and the resources they need to pursue it.

> lay out a PERT time network through which to integrate the various efforts and track progress. In Process Reviews would be held to make needed adjustments to the plan or its execution.

Unfortunately, the CNC nor RELIVING 1776 team have dues paying members. Their efforts are supported by those involved with them. Therefore, I pray an individual or organization agreeing on the need for the described communications system and proposed conference and who has the financial ability to help finance them will contact me as time is of the essence.

When are you people going to wake up? Glenn Beck is a lot richer than any of you will ever be. He promotes all this useless political nonsense in the form of novels written for-profit by unknown authors.

As reality dictates, you can scream it Mr. Beck from the rooftops until your voice is scratchy & strained, and the people won't hear if they no longer have ears to hear with.

What we need is to get down to the basics here. Revisiting the fundamentals of our nonexistent judicial system may be considered a start.

Let me illustrate one of those fundamentals here for that brain impaired audience of sheep out there... "When you or I break the law whether it's a few unpaid parking tickets or perhaps some petty larceny, We are read our so-called rights then this American taxpaying citizen & contributor to society is immediately arrested like any common penniless bum right off those filthy crime-ridden streets that we have become so proud of.

We are handcuffed taken away in a squad car & upon arriving at the station,,, booked. However, when these power mad liberal and conservative psychos break these same laws they simply change that particular law to avoid any and all prosecution. ("you don't even need a get out of jail free card,if you dictate the premise of the law that tried to convict you")

Do any of you remember that first Billy Jack movie from the 70s (the first one) where Billy addresses all that government corruption jazz by summing it up like this,,, Billy says this to Jeane "When policemen break the law, then there is no law, just a fight for survival"

How right you were Billy if only the American people would heed those words instead of rejected them...

The mighty Roman empire was just like the USA in many respects. We must never forget that painful lesson from Italy's past, for it is written that no army ever defeated Rome, NO,,, "she like our young now crumbling democracy fell from within too"

Shortly before that mighty empires preordained demise you could buy any Senate seat or even purchase the position of Caesar & Emperor, if you had enough wealth. Sound familiar, you Obama supporters???

Friends we are at the Crossroads now, like Beck would say, "we are in some serious trouble"

If you look at that world history closely, country's like ours only last but a short season.

It's not up to Mr. Beck or any other radio TV personality. No changing this country for the better is up to

"WE THE PEOPLE" of this great Republic...."

Therefore,until We the people take charge & crack down on these lawless Washington bureaucratic trugs, nothing will change.

Only by exercising some real poetic justice which falls under the heading of launching a series of investigations, illuminating class favoritism, getting lots of convictions & dishing out some real hard time prison sentences as a result of the crackdown. by taking these extreme (to the lawless elite) measures we may have a chance of beating them at their own dishonest game... However, if this doesn't materialize within the next few years, we will lose everything our forefathers legislated put into law and backed it all with some real dark red human blood...

You can take this to the bank, as Beretta would quote... If the people remain ignorant as Mr. Beck points out repeatedly, our country will continue to disintegrate into that same kind of anarchy that gives rise to socialism/ communism. Two words that act very much like to opposite counterparts...

I would willingly repeat these same words right in the faces of those who would debate & ridicule my God-given right to say them...

Gordon, have you ever watched the Glenn Beck show? Number one Glenn Beck wasn't on TV for Bushes 8 years in office. Number two, Glenn has never been a big fan of George Bush, and GWB did something wrong, Beck was all over it. Gordon, I strongly advise you to relinquish the remote in your home to a true conservative, get away from CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS. Number three, Glenn Beck is NOT a 9/11 truther, neither am I. So why another 9/11 investigation? I watched those buildings get hit by jets, I was employee by American Airlines at the time and I lost comrades in that terrorist attack. Islam, is our enemy, my one big problem I have with Glenn Beck, is that he nolonger talks about the evilness and infiltration of Islam into our society.
