Both of Barry/Barrack's and his sister's certificates showing Hawaii birth were printed on standard forms that were printed in 2007 (saw his form on his site) His sister later admitted she was born in Indonesia and not Hawaii. The D.N.C. knows all about Obama and they own him! Also all of the African Press lauded his Kenyan birth when he first became a senator in Illinois. Oops! It's kinda hard to hide/remove hundreds of public references to his actual birthplace, but they're trying!

I agree with 100% with this Army Surgeon. Every man has the right to know who he is fighting and maybe dying for. If not, why bother to try to have any laws at all? If your commander is a fraud, then everyone has the right to refuse any directives from him. A US Marshall should go to the White House and place the man under arrest until proof of his legitimacy can be proven without a doubt. I believe the whole world has been taken in by this imposter. Without all the arrangments to control the media and the huge amounts of money spent to hide and block information about his roots, it is obvious to even an idiot that something is wrong with this picture.

Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin is a true Patriot.
If he can produce all of this information and the President of the United States cannot then there is obviously somethng wrong.
Perhaps Obama's communist, anti-US mother had it all destroyed after he was born because she hated the US and didn't want her newborn son to be known as a US citizen.
Has anyone thought of that poossibility?

Obama is not a US citizen--that much has been unequivocaly established in publicly available documents submitted to courts. Therefore no law, regulation, treaty or anything else this man does is binding on any US citizen let alone our military, who take an oath to obey the US Constitution...
Thus the entire military has an affirmative 'duty' to disobey Obama...and not just them, but us, noting that all of the rest of us have to 'prove' our citizenship for many jobs and even for passports...
We are all aware of the attempts to forge a birth certificate for him...enough already...and while we're on it, everyone how facilitated, concealed or assited in covering up these criminal acts should be prosecuted...

Sometimes standing up for what is right has its consequences and LTC Lakin is doing just that and should be applauded.
The entire thing could be settled with Obama providing the document, as well as others that have been requested. He is either NOT a citizen or he is so arrogant as to think rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to him.

As a Marine, Vietnam Veteran, I think LTC Lakin, and anyone else in the military for that matter has a right to know if their Commander In Chief, is actually eligible to be President. Personally, the only reason the original birth cert. hasen't been released, is because the original is in Kenya, not Hawaii. When I enlisted in the Marine Corps back in 1967, I had to provide my original birth certificate to serve my country. It is only right that the man who has the authority to put men's lives in danger, be required to produce his original birth certificate too. ~Sarge

I don't care what anyone else says, I have enough proof of my own to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that BHO IS hiding something-aside from the fact that he's spent millions on attorneys to keep that information hidden. I'm 47, my sister is 45, my son is 22. We ALL have the same birth certificate layouts. We were born in different states, and obviously during different time periods. My daughter's (age 13) BC is the only one in the group of us, whose BC is different (looks like a vehicle certificate). The one I filed when I was still in the hospital after giving birth WAS like mine, her aunt's and her brother's, with all the pertinent DOB/time of birth/attending physician's name/original signature of attending physician. Oh yeah, he's hiding something alright. And NO ONE can tell me otherwise. Keep digging! File an action with the Supreme Court! Find someone who has the authority to take this thing ALL THE WAY, before he COMPLETELY ruins this beautiful country!

Unfortunately for him,Wikipedia has much information on the fact that there is NO information on him at Columbia U., where he graduated around'83. FxNews ran down about 400 people that also attended at the same time and NONE of them says they ever saw him there. THAT fact and others makes all the more suspicion about his roots and upbringing and acquaintances- From Alinsky to Ayers to G. Soros, and a host of very left-leaning and suspicious people with communist-marxist leanings. That this is not brought out by our media makes it even more suspect, and more evidence that the cover-up and ongoing promotion of all his agenda and friends as a grand plan. I belive they call that insubordination. It's my hope that he is relived of duty,stripped of his rank and benefits and tossed in prison where he belongs for witholding treatment to wounded soldiers in a time of war.I would have more respect for him if he had moral objections to the wars, but no, he wants to play the right wing reindeer games instead.I'm a veteran too, and when I was in, if you disobeyed a lawful order, you faced legal repurcussions.
America is watching and noticing the breathtaking hypocrisy of the right wing elements in this country.There is nothing "patrioctic" about the hatred and vitriol spewed on an almost nonstop basis by these type of people.

Everyone must remember it is not just about the birth certificate. Presidential eligibility is not just to be a "US citizen", it is to be a "natural born" citizen. His father was Kenyan, and Obama has admitted his own British/dual citizenship at birth. He does not have the "pure" natural born type of citizenship required for the Presidency. Don't focus only on the birth certificate. Even if he shows it, the fight is not over. Lt. Colonel Lakin needs to understand this.

This issue is CRITICAL in my view. This is particularly true for a US President who states his desire and in fact his intention to "TRANSFORM" America. Americans need to know EXACTLY who and what it is that wants to transform this country. Equally critical is adherance to the United States Constitution. There was/is an oath to that document. It means something to Americans. Sweeping this under the rug isn't going to work.

* Healthcare passed, but not with the single-payer option that the uberleftists demanded. And Republicans are now retreating from their promise to roll back the changes as part of a 2010 election strategy.
Even better is the caterwauling about Obama taking peoples guns away. The only bill he's signed so far pertaining to guns is to let visitors to national parks carry them, as well as Amtrak passengers.
This morning he announced plans for oil exploration on the U.S. Eastern seaboard. Im sure part of his strategy is to make the heretofore "drill drill drill" Republicans look even more ridiculous than they already do when they predictably come out in opposition to that plan. Boehner has already taken the bait.

Key point: "Native born" is not the same as "natural born." A person who is born in the U.S. is not necessarily a "natural born citizen." Read on...
2nd key point: There are many differences between a long form birth certificate and a short form Certification of Live Birth, three versions of which have been displayed on the Internet.
Authentic or not, a short form COLB is not definitive proof of place of birth. At the time COLBs could be issued to individuals born abroad.
The important point about the short form Certification of Live Birth is that it indicates that Mr. Obama was a "dual citizen" at birth. (His father as noted on the COLB was not a U.S. citizen.) The Founders included in Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution wording that expressly prohibits those who were born with dual citizenship after the adoption of the Constitution from serving as President. So, if the COLB is correct, we know that while he could be a "native born citizen" (born in the U.S.), he is not a "natural born citizen" (born in the U.S. with two parent who were both citizens). The courts need to clarify that that is indeed what the Founders met by the "natural born citizen" requirement. Many Constitutional experts think that dual citizenship at birth disqualifies one from being a natural born citizen.

First of all, I have the utmost respect for all of our men & woman of the military. May God bless them and there families!
As for Lt. Colonel Lakin, with his credentials I stand by him, as he takes his stance with his Commander-In-Chief.
Why? Because Barack Obama needs to prove he is eligible under the Constitution to be the President of the United States of America first of all, which then and only then, gives him the title of Commander-In-Chief.
Unfortunately, there has been much evidence brought forth over the last year and half that would suggest he's not eligible.
Barack Obama needs to address this issue now. Or, possibly Lt. Colonel Lakin will find others within his military family to stand with him as I do. I have said all along that this issue will not be settled by congress or the courts as they just hope it goes away without creating any conflict. And, can you blame them? It takes a lot of guts to stand up to Barack Obama, for fear of repercussions to themselves and/or their family members.
You know, you would think that if you were Barack Obama, a member of his administration or one of his 30 Czars, someone would stand up and say, Hey - let's put all of those birthers in there place once and for all. We’ll show them the long form birth certificate along with all of Barack’s school records. That by goodness will surely shut them the heck up once and for all. The incentive is there, the problem is he, nor any of his people can do that.
Why is that? Do you think Howard Dean knows why? Nancy Pelosi? Harry Reid? Hillary & Bill Clinton? Who do you trust?

I applaud the Lt. Col.'s actions. This issue MUST be cleared up once and for all. You would THINK that if Obama had nothing to hide that he would be more forth-coming. Let us see the ORIGINAL birth certificate, Mr. President. We have the right to know the truth about our leaders. I really don't care about the birth certificate. The Hawaii/Kenya issue is moot. What is not moot is that he was legally adopted as Barry Soetoro, an Indonesian Muslim. There is no record of the person using the name Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. ever renouncing the Indonesian adoption, or legally filing a name change and citizenship renunciation back to Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Neither are his scholastic records from High School, college, law school, bar exam results, case law citations, employment contracts proving him a legitimate professor. There is evidence he is using a Social Security card as a result of possible identity theft. There is a Quo Warranto filing in federal Washington DC District Court,to substantiate the carge questioning legitimacy of the person representing himself to be Barack Hussein Obama, since he was an adult. Forget the birth. His last 28 years matter. The Doctor/Officer is to be commended. This is not a totalitarian society (yet) demanding blind obedience to unlawful orders. You people are really not that great at grasping facts, as opposed to looking for any mild inconsistency. Let me explain this, then you call can check out FactCheck.org. Let's say your poor mother dies when you are very young and later in life you need a birth certificate. The original has long since been lost. You then write to the state of Hawaii, which sends you the Certificate of Live Birth. This document lists the date of birth, name of parents, name of infant AND LOCATION OF BIRTH. In addition, TWO local newspapers printed a birth announcement of the birth of the President the day after he was born. Was there a conspiracy in the 1960s to put this random black baby as President in 40+ years? It's insane to think so.
To top it all off, there are stories of people who knew his parents in Hawaii who discussed the birth. The tending physician died years ago but discussed the birth with several people.

As a Iraq and Afghanistan vet, I have four simple words for Mr Larkin (I say Mr, for I believe he has forfeited his right to be referred to as an officer), "You are a Coward". To stay home so that you can get your 15 minutes of fame while your troops go into harms way, shame, shame on you. I find your actions despicable. I could not give two cents for who is the White House. What I do care about is the scum who attacked us on 9/11 still residing in the caves of Afghanistan. "Mr." Larkin, if you lack the stones to go into combat again, resign your commission like any honorable soldier would do, not try and politicize the shirking of a deployment. First we need to regain control of both houses of Congress. Then we can start an impeachment process based on the fact that Obama lied about his place of birth. This is certainly grounds for impeachment. Then, to avoid being removed from office, all he has to do is produce an authentic Hawaiian birth certificate, one that disproves the Kenyan birth certificate which is already in general circulation. Problem solved!

There are 2 reasons he doesn't release his birth papers: 1- he doesn't have any & 2- it gives him a sense of power over us & he thrives on power. If you read his books you'll find conflicting info. on where he was a what time. What birth country is on his passport? What name? There is supposed to be a letter as well as a certificate from Hawaii. I forgot- he is also the biggest liar ever born. What ever he says it will turn out to be just the opposite.

I agree with G. Busch. They need to try and kick LTC Lakin out of the Army......right after he is court martialed. He has the Constitutional Right to a speedy trial within 90 days, the right to call witnesses (B. Obama) and the right to evidence (Obamas documents).
Nothing short of a conviction by court martial can force him out of service before he can honorably retire with 20 years service (Title 10).
But Obama will not allow that because that will expose his lies.

My hat's off to this brave man, LTC Lakin ! He has done something that others in the upper class in DC should have done when Obama was starting his run for the office of President of the United States! If Obama is truly native born American, he should show it and put this whole thing to rest. If he is not a native born citizen of The United States of America, he has no authority to issue the orders and make the demands he is and continues to do.
Obama should show up or get out of the office. Again, I believe LTC Lakin is a very brave man and is doing something that many more senior officials should have done.

A commentator at Canada Free Press says he has obtained copies of two documents apparently prepared by Democrats to certify Barack Obama as their nominee for president in 2008 that suggest House Speaker Nancy Pelosi knew there was an unresolved issue with his eligibility under the U.S. Constitution.
Writer JB Williams describes himself as a "no nonsense commentator on American politics, American history, and American philosophy." And he say's he's gotten possession of copies of the documents in question.
The first includes a verification that Obama and Joe Biden, then-candidate for vice president, "are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution."
The second form obtained by Williams appears identical, down to a typographical error in "through." But in this one, the verification of eligibility under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution is gone.
"Now this is the stuff real conspiracies are made of!" Williams, who also maintains his own website, wrote. "Please allow me to connect the dots here…"

"The version which is absent any certification of constitutional standing for the office of president is the version that was filed with every state in the country, and the one used by the DNC to elect Barack Obama president," he wrote.
WND contacted the Democratic National Committee multiple times over three days to request an explanation of the two images, including whether one might be a forgery. A spokeswoman in the press office confirmed, "We are aware of it," but declined to elaborate.
Likewise, WND contacted the office of Pelosi, but got no response over several days. And the White House declined to respond to multiple e-mails asking for a comment.
"The fact that TWO DNC Certifications exist, both signed, dated and notarized by the same individuals on the same day, means that a very real conspiracy to commit election fraud was under way, and since it took until six months after the election to uncover it, the conspiracy was indeed successful," Williams wrote.
"Are you still wondering why Barack Obama has spent nearly $1.5 million in taxpayer's funds to race Department of Justice lawyers around the country to stop all cases questioning Obama's eligibility before discovery can force Obama to open up his top secret life?"
He described the discoveries as "actually very serious business."
"We are talking about the top-down leadership of the ruling political party knowingly and wantonly defrauding voters by way of playing monkey business with fraudulent election documents."
The documents show the "Official Certification of Nomination" of Obama, of "5046 South Greenwood Avenue" in Chicago and Joe Biden, of "1209 Barley Mill Road" in Wilmington, Del., as the party's candidates.
They were signed by Pelosi as chair of the Democratic National Convention as well as Alice Travis Germond, the secretary of the Democratic National Convention at its nominating meetings in Denver a year ago.
They were notarized by Shalifa A. Williamson of Denver.
Other bloggers also speculated that a document was signed with the verification of constitutional eligibility, and Democratic officials then decided to generate another without, suggesting at least an awareness of the issue involved.
WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."
Some of the lawsuits over the dispute question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.
Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.
Complicating the situation is Obama's decision to spend sums estimated over $1 million to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest the questions.
WND has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.
WND reported this week on a decision by a California judge to schedule a trial early next year on the arguments over Obama's eligibility.
U.S. District Judge David Carter tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for the case. If the case actually goes to arguments, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue.
Arguments over other online Obama images also have raged. His campaign and now his administration repeatedly has pointed to an online image of a "Certification of Live Birth" from Hawaii has documenting his status, even though such documents are not, in fact, proof. Critics have suggested the image itself is fraudulent.
And in just recent days, WND reported Lucas Smith, the man who tried to sell an alleged Barack Obama Kenyan birth certificate on eBay, filed court papers insisting – under threat of perjury – that the Obama birth certificate in his possession is the genuine article.
California attorney Orly Taitz, who is working on the California challenge now scheduled for trial, posted on her blog Smith's declaration, which claims he obtained the alleged birth certificate from Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya, and insists it's real.
"The true and correct photocopy of the birth certificate obtained is attached to this affidavit as Exhibit A," the declaration reads. "I declare, certify, verify, state and affirm under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing statements of fact and descriptions of circumstances and events are true and correct."
Smith's affidavit, which includes a copy of the certificate, has been filed with Carter, whose works in the Central District of California.
In his filing, Smith declares that he traveled to Kenya in February and paid off a military officer in order to obtain a copy of the birth certificate from Coast General Hospital in Mombasa. The declaration also states that the hospital administrator signed and sealed the copy, which indicates Obama's birth in Africa on Aug. 4, 1961, at 7:24 p.m.
Williams explained political parties in the U.S. are responsible for vetting their own candidates.
The nomination form, however, including the certificate of eligibility under the Constitution, wasn't actually used.
"Instead, a very similar document was delivered to 50 state DNC offices, which those offices certified to each of 50 state Election Commissions, who then date-stamped the document and stuck it in a file cabinet, and proceeded to place these 'certified' candidates on the ballot,'" Williams wrote.
"And yes, I have a copy of this version of the DNC Official Certification of Nomination letter too!" he wrote.
"There is no honest debate on the matter anymore. Obama is NOT a constitutional president, which is to say, we do NOT have a constitutional federal administration at present and every anti-American policy of the last six months is also, BINGO! – Unconstitutional!" he wrote.
"What is still in question however – does any court in America have the backbone to do what must be done? – And what do the American people do, if not one court in the nation has that kind of constitutional backbone today?" he continued.

I admire and respect someone like this officer, who is willing to jeopardize his career and freedom to demand no less of Obama than McCaine was required to provide. I cannot believe even O'Reilly and Beck are satisfied with what has been provided, in spite of the fact Obama has spent so much money on fighting the outcry for his Birth Certificate. If he has one, why would he (the open and transparent President) hide it at such great cost. I love Beck and his sacrifice of personal safety to bring America back to the founding father's original concepts, but don't understand how one can say, because Clinton and other Democratic candidates did not capitalize on his lack of providing a Birth Certificate, he is obviously legitimate.

Obama) was born in Kenya or, the government would simply release the actual birth certificate to prove he's a U.S. citizen. Obama needs to go and we MUST stand for what is right, even when the current world view says we are wrong.
The state of our nation is no doubt troubling. It is very nice to see men & women in government leadership roles standing for what is right. He was adopted by an Indonesian Citizen, and by law surrenders which ever nationality he previously held and became Indonesian. His name is Barry and he never "Legally" changed it Barrack. So every law he signs is NULL and VOID.

even if Obama was born in HI, he may be a citizen but he is not a Natural Born Citizen unless both of his parents are US Citizens at the time of his birth. Hi father was not a US Citizen at the time of his son's birth. Thus, Mr. Obama is NOT a Natural Born Citizen and not allowed to be President.

During the election, many serving in our military who hold democrat and liberal views even questioned Obama's evasive behavior and gross lack of integrity. Many wanted him as president but rejected him as commander-in-chief. The integrity issue swung many votes against him. Politicians can become president, but only leaders can serve as commander-in-chief.
‘Birth issue aside, what most likely plagues Obama’s past, in addition to other things, are hidden felonies. What names, parents, places of birth, countries of citizenship, passports held and foreign travel, etc did he use on passport, university, law school and bar exam applications; and whatever national security clearance application he completed for classified work he did as a U.S. Senator? How many discrepancies would be revealed if his records were public? Lying on official legal forms, especially federal ones, is a serious crime many military members are discharged for and many civilians fined or imprisoned for.
This was the man who initiated his Sunshine policy to usher in the most transparent government in history but his first day in office he pens an executive order hiding every personal document ever related to him.

With Obama we're dealing with lies, high treason, Constitutional violations, war crimes, and he wasn't born in the United States, but lied about it. He should be arrested by all the people in the military, police, and citizens (citizens arrest). Since that's not going to happen, everybody in the military should be refusing orders he issues. With the high treason, mass murders of 9/11 and lies, the lies of the two wars, etc. there needs to be massive nonviolent noncooperation. They're heading us for something worse than what Stalin and Hitler put their countries through; they need to do what's right. Furthermore, the Bible warns us, in the first 3 of the Ten Commandments, that Pledges of Allegiance violate the first three of the Ten Commandments. No graven images to be worshipped such as flags, no false oaths/pledges using the name of God (is "liberty and justice for all" a true statment????). People who obey liars such as this guy are disobeying God. Pledges of Allegiance were set up by this "New World Order" (International Communism) to mislead people, lead them into wars for profit and population reduction, everything un-American. I wound up in Honduras in the spring of 1988 when there was a little war with Nicaragua but, if I were still in the Reserves, there is absolutely no question I'd be refusing everything these miserable liars were ordering us to do. A birth certificate has the doctor's signature, the mother's signature, the father's signature, the name of the hospital you were born at, ETC. This Certification has none of these. The reason a president is required to have been born in the US is because the founders thought it would be necessary in order to avoid the country being taken over from within. What a disaster it would be if it turned out that this President is not a natural born citizen and no one had the courage to question it before he was sworn in, just because he happens to be black. I think that it is sad that we spend so much time picking each other apart on issues that may or may not have truth to them rather than moving forward on the issues that really matter. Both sides of the political fence are guilty of this, but what makes me most sad is all of the scared little Americans that get wrapped up in all this posturing. I served in the Army, overseas in the Gulf War.
I have to say that every person in uniform knows that the President is our Commander in Chief.
"Birthers" are the same as "flat-earthers"...they are like little spoiled children holding their breath until they get their way.

It's pretty clear from an article in About.com that Obama is a US Citizen by virtue of "jus soli", being born in US territory. The people complaining would have a case if "jus sanguinis" was applied because he was not born in US territory, but he was and all the smart complainers know this (those that know the law) which is why Obama is President and some people are going to end up looking like the Fools they are. That he was born in US Territory is clear from the Hawaii record of birth that CLEARLY says he was born in HONOLULU, and the 2 Hawaiian newspapers from 1961 that have his name and others who were born in the same day. You want to hate Obama, go ahead but you have no case and the more you dig, the more you bury yourselves and expose your lack of intelligence.

LTC Lakin is a fool, but I hope his subordinates catch onto his game and start demanding that he give them his original birth certificate, too, so they can sell it on eBay to identity thieves. Doesn't anyone realize that the President has had a US passport for years, and that he had to produce an original BC to get his US passport? And guess what, someone illegally accessed his US passport files (and McCain's too) and apparently found nothing worth reporting. But loads of Americans apparently think that in 1961, everyone in Hawaii knew that Barack Obama would someday run for President, so they engaged in a massive conspiracy to pretend that he was born there by planting news articles and birth certificates. This conspiracy apparently included flying his pregnant mother to Kenya for a couple of days so that she could give birth to him there (although how she did this without a US passport for herself, and how she got Baby Barack back into the US without any documents remains to be explained). The birthers are crazy, and LTC Lakin is a fool. At least we found out he was a fool before he got promoted to COL. The Army should court-martial him and toss him into the USDB for a few years so he can think about his foolishness.

Yeah, I want LTC Lakin to send me his original birth certificate (not a photocopy) so I can see if LTC Lakin is really qualified to be a US Army officer (officers are required by law to be US citizens). If LTC Lakin doesn't send me his original birth certificate (=not a photocopy), I guess I can refuse to obey his orders, too. After all, as a Soldier I have a right to know whether LTC Lakin is really qualified to give me orders. LTC Lakin, I would like your public acknowledgement that you will send your original birth certificate to any lower ranking Army soldier who asks for it.

Since when is it a requirement to have a birth certificate? Thousands of US born American citizens DO NOT and have never had a birth certificate. I was born on a US military base in the United States. My father was a senior US Diplomat and because it was federal property and outside any state incorporated area and the Feds don’t issue birth certificates I have never had one. The best I can get is a Birth Registration.
This guy is just trying to come up with a reason to not deploy again. He is a Coward and it shames the rest of us who wear the uniform. It is a time of war he should be charged as a coward and a deserter if he refuses to deploy.

First, this Officer should know that he has three Articles pending against him and that it would not matter if it the president personally showed him his birth certificate that he is going to be charge. Missing movement is the worst thing you can do. You let the team down when you are not there. The men and women serving in AFG are depending on the care that this man provides and now he is not there to provide it. Think of the lives he could possibly save but yet he is too arrogant to see that. He could have fought his fight while he was deployed.
Second, he has to remember that the current president did not send us to war in AFG. The current president is only following through on plans that were already in motion. So to take a stance on not going because of not seeing a birth certificate is a cover up for something more like not leaving his current comfort zone.
Third, if he feels that strong about his believe that the president is not a US citizen then instead of letting the team down by having him missing for his current duty assignment he should have resigned his commission a year ago left the Army because everything he does in under the umbrella of the Commander and Chief.
Finally, there are lower Soldiers that have faced penalties for far greater personal reasons than this man and I willing to bet that if he was on a jury during a Court Marshall for someone missing movement over Child Care, Religious beliefs or Family health Care he would smoke them.
This pisses me off and for everyone that supports his actions think of the service men and women that needs his care and he is not there to provide it. This is from a service member that has deployed to both theaters of war multiple times and will continue regardless as long as my nations need me. I will not let my Team down.

The author of this article is a political operative who doesn't bother to point out to her readers that every birther lawsuit to date against the President has been tossed out by federal judges (some of them were conservative federal judges, too). The whole federal judiciary thinks that people like Colonel Lakin are kooks and some of the birthers have gotten monetary sanctions against them. The courts have examined the evidence and concluded that the birthers are crazy. The author of this article is no "journalist" but is just trying to get you all stirred up and angry, probably to foment rebellion, and this being wartime, she is a traitor, too. Colonel Lakin fell for it, and Hemenway is using you all. Family Security Matters should be embarrassed to publish such a shoddy article. And Colonel Lakin should go to jail for violating the UCMJ.

It is likely the Army is conducting an Article 32 investigation which mean LTC Lakin will get a general court-martial. he could serve prison time and he will be dismissed from the Army which is equivalent to a dishonorable discharge. If he is convicted, he will be a felon and lose his medical license.
I doubt if the prosecution will even address the birth certificate issue because it is irrelevant.

The Nuremberg trails in Germany should shed light upon ignorance from military officers blindly following orders. During the trials, every German officer held the same belief, “we didn’t question orders since they derived from high commandâ€, and “if we didn’t follow orders, they (Germany) would have simply replaced us with another that wouldâ€. The international committee found them guilty and executed them with a warning to the world; All orders should be questioned by officers of the military and not blindly followed, it is their Duty.
If Obama produces the necessary documentation proving his eligibility and the Courts hold that he also meets the Article 2 definition of a Natural Born Citizen (both parents are U.S. Citizens), then Lt. Col Lakin’s orders are legal, otherwise they are illegal orders for the time being.

I ask myself everyday, "why doesn't someone who is very rich and powerful" go after this man. Wait, I am out of line. Why doesn't our military personnel all get together and form a Tea Party and go after the Commander in Charge...Mr. Barry Man, Head of what?

The person only gets discovery of things that are relevant to the criminal charges against him. Disobeying orders to deploy isn't going to get Lakin a copy of the President's birth certificate, because the President's BC isn't relevant to whether Lakin got a lawful order to deploy. Other people besides Lakin have tried the same tactic and it didn't work for them; it's not going to work for this guy, either. He is just the highest ranking fool who has tried this tactic. Lakin is either a coward or a fool, and he obviously isn't getting good legal counsel, either, if he thinks that disobeying orders will get the President to cough up his birth certificate. (He probably doesn't think that; he probably just wants to create a ruckus, avoid deployment, and retire to give speeches on the Quack Conspiracy circuit.) The Nuremberg precedent doesn't apply here, either. Nobody told Colonel Lakin to violate the laws of war.
And if Lakin is right, then no US military member has to deploy until his whole entire chain of command coughs up all their original birth certificates or US passports or other proof of US citizenship, since all Active Component officers are all required to be US citizens. Nearly every officer above the rank of Major puts himself in for a Bronze Star when he deploys to the Middle East, even if all he did was sit in a medical clinic. A Bronze Star for Service is an award that officers like Lakin routinely get. Don't be too impressed by it.

I never claimed to be a lawyer. Don't be overly confident about Obama's ability to keep getting away with the lie. This is no tactic on this Military Officer's part. He his honoring his oath to the Constitution. Something you obviously don't understand. Hussein is very close to being exposed. All criminals eventually get caught, and he's no exception.

It's totally relevant because, this will prove that Barack Hussein Obama/Soetoro is giving unlawful orders. There is only one way to prove that. If Lt. Freedom to Dictatorship in 5 Years
What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or will ever read in history books.
I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote. I’ve never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.
In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates. Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.
The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.
We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler. We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang “Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles,†and had physical education.
Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.
Equal Rights Hits Home
In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employ-ment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.
Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare
When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.
Health Care and Small Business
Suffer Under Government Controls
Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine.
Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.
We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.
“Mercy Killing†Redefined
In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesick-ness.
As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.
The Final Steps-Gun Laws
Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily. No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria . Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria . Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn’t destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn’t, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account.

A natural born citizen is simply one who gained their citizenship through birth (either jus soli or jus sanguinis) rather than through naturalisation.

The U.S. Supreme Court concluded that Marie Elizabeth Elg, who was born in the United States of Swedish parents naturalized in the United States, had not lost her birthright U.S. citizenship because of her removal during minority to Sweden and was entitled to all the rights and privileges of that U.S. citizenship. In this case, the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed the decree that birthright citizenship and natural born citizenship mean the same thing and declared Elg “to be a natural born citizen of the United States.â€
At the time that Chester A. Arthur ascended to the presidency in 1881, his father was a citizen of Ireland, and not of the US. No-one thought that this disqualified him from being a “natural born citizenâ€.
So, the question I have to ask is: Why is Terry Lankin to be believed rather than 200 years of case law and practice?

You're a drone. He didn't ask the previous Presidents because there were records from them. We saw President Bush's college records. We know what his grades were. They were higher than John Kerry's by the way. This guy won't even release those. Either he is not as brilliant as what everyone makes him out to be, or he received foreign aid as a foreign student. You need to ask yourself what type of so called President would allow the court martial of a honorable soldier when he can simply produce the birth certificate. Lt. Col Lakin had to present his, Obama needs to produce his. We know he can't though because the only legitimate one he has is from Kenya. What have you done to serve your country by the way? There is a constitutional process for certifying and removing a president- clearly spelled out for this poor fool to read - once the Congress certifies the president he's the president - and can only be removed by impeachment. Can you imagine if every American had their own standards for deciding if they will or will not obey the law? I'm not a birther nor am I a racist, simply for posing the question. This man has impeccable records and has been rated in the top 10% of all military physicians.
My issue with Obama is the definition of Natural Born Citizen which is a Constitutional Requirement, Article II.
Article I, states that legislators, both Representatives and Senators need only be "Citizens"... The authors of the Constitution were looking for a Chief Executive who had a single allegiance to this nation.
Obama was born an American with an American mother. His father gave him dual citizenship to both Kenya and Great Britain.
His stepfather,Lolo Sotero, gave him Indonesian citizenship when he adopted him and placed him in an Indonesian school.
He has claimed to be a "citizen of the world". That may not be what we need from the commander of our nation's military.
It's the Dual Citizenship, not the where he was born.

As a resident of Hawaii, I can't help but wonder why no hospital on Oahu has come forward to share the good word that BHO was born in their facility -- claim the honors, place a monument on the grounds, gold plate the walls in the room or at least a bed pan. Unless I'm asleep at the wheel -- no hospital has made this claim, no retired doctor, nurse, hospital aide, or even a janitor has ever claimed/confirmed this birth - stepped up to claim "Hawaii's Son". I find that very odd. As for any current or future documents floating around on the Internet -- it's pretty easy these days to tamper with and/or create falsehoods. I must question with boldness. That is my right as an American -- for now, anyway.

Are we so dumb that we just believe everything anybody says? Mr. Lakin must first prove he is right for me to even listen. I am a veteran and I can only think that the only citizenship and allegiance to this country in question is the one of Mr. Lakin. I am surprised to hear that all Mr. Lakin’s allegations are based on hearsay. It is Mr. Lakin that has not sufficed the burden of proof that would substantiate his crazy claims. Mr. Lakin has the burden to prove to all of us that President Obama was not born within the jurisdictional limits of the United States. Thus far, Mr. Lakin has made accusations that are based from comments from conspiracy theorists, hearsay from people not present during his birth, or by documents that have been previously proven false. I would question his motives more than anything. This became an issue for Mr. Lakin as soon as he got the order to go back to the front line. His actions are nothing more than an attempt to hide his coward fear of returning back to a place he knows he hates. He certainly deserves to be punished and imprisoned. I would not have any respect to serve for officers that are cowards.

I don't care what point this "highly decorated" officer is trying to make. Someone as "highly decorated" as this fool should understand what insubordination is. He had orders from his commander-in-chief to deploy and disregarded those orders. He's a coward, nothing more. I have seen individuals thrown in the brig and chastised in the military for doing much less than this. He needs to be thrown in the brig until his court martial. He shouldn't be out giving interviews. Ultimately, he should be stripped of rank and thrown out of the military like everyone else who violates military laws.
I'm so tired of hearing from these "birthers", "tea partiers" and all the other "" person coming out of the wood work. Deal with the fact that we have a black President and understand it came about because our former Pres. was a waste of space. This country is facing all of these problems because of the Presidents that came before Obama. At some point, Repubs and Dems need to stop laying blame on the other party. The problems were created by both and fixed by none. The hypocrisy of our government officials is appalling.

If the man has a legit birth certificate, and his presidency is legit, why not quickly prove it?
It's a simple question, and it would take less than a few hours of work and phone calls to clear up.
And no, "Face it, he's black," and "Birthers are racist" is not a legitimate answer to the question.
Lakin may be a coward, who knows. Doesn't mitigate the question. Notice the total lack of intellectual honesty from those responding with "He's a coward" and "Get over it" and "Racist!" answers. Shame!

I am soooo tired of hearing people say that the burden of proof is on LTC Lakin!! You cannot prove a negative, so the onus is upon Barrack Obama. Mr. Obama has refused to do what every American must do to obtain employment. And those of you who believe this is a true certificate...Why then is it dated as being produced 2007. If he indeed lost his original, he would most assuredly have obtained another one before 2007! Wake up people. And as far as LTC Lakin, more people support him than don't. He is decorous and proper in his language and regardless of what those with hardened hearts say, he is a man of strong beliefs and excercises great passion tempered with reason. This is a very well ballanced man who is made of the same strength and conviction as many historic figures of the past.To think that he has put his career and Commission at risk for many undeserving persons. The Neomarxist behind the Obama/FTC intend to drown out the voice of America with Obama/Marxist propaganda, enforcing new regulations that will cripple bloggers and other alternative media from disseminating information, free speech that grass-roots among other organizations depend on to make informed decisions. Obama’s support of the DISCLOSE Act confirmed what many Americans already believed; that Obama and certain Democrats in Congress intend to strangle the flow of information. If Obama and his leftists associations get their way, our Children will be brainwashed by Obama’s one-sided propaganda at school, through Obama controlled Radio, TV and Obama media policies that restrict the free flow of information. Historically when communists attempt or take over a country, one of their first steps was to control the media and all forms of public communications to control Civilian populations. When Russia took over Hungary, it immediately took control of the Radio stations to thwart Citizen resistance and to psychologically control the People. Considering the Obama administration’s obsession with controlling all media, one might ask, are some of the same persons inside and outside U.S. Government working with the Obama administration to push the Disclose Act and other censorship regulations, involved in causes that promulgate overthrow of the United States? While some in the Obama Government say they support dismantling capitalism, brick by brick, does their endgame call for destruction of the United States? If it does, what should Americans do to stop it? Does the Obama administration’s proposed censorship of free speech e.g., the Disclose Act threaten National Security? In other countries where members of political parties and ideological extremists attempted or succeeded in this kind of forced censorship, forbidding Citizens to receive information, they have been arrested for treason among other crimes. The Obama administration appears intended to curtail Americans’ right to know, restrict American’s right to communicate via the Internet and the Obama administration admits they want to pay writers in newspapers and other media to covertly propagandize their point of view. Is this not treason? Top CZAR Cass Sunstein prepared a 2008 paper that proposed spying on Americans, infiltrating groups and organizations to obstruct Free Speech, disrupt the exchange of ideas and disseminate false information to neutralize Americans that might question government.

The majority of Americans oppose military governments. But increasingly during the last six months, more Americans quietly state they would trust the U.S. Military running U.S. Government temporarily over extremists in Obam’s government; that they would support a quasi Civilian/military form of government temporarily provided their civil and constitutional rights were protected and importantly, all leftists extremists in U.S. Government were deposed. This recent change of attitude by Americans might be explained by the fact they can relate to their U.S. Military and find nothing in common with Obama and his extreme leftist associations and supporters. Increasingly Americans appear to fear the Obama government more than the idea of having the U.S. Military temporarily run U.S. Government. Additionally Obama’s refusal to secure America’s Mexican border might have contributed to Americans identifying with a quasi/U.S. military government over an Obama government that won’t protect Border States from foreign invaders. The number of Marxists in the U.S. is small, but having them control any part of our government is repugnant to most Americans that believe it not in the best interest of our economy, national defense and National Security. Considering the direction America is going economically, more Americans are afraid that if things collapse, Obama might use the U.S. Military against U.S. Citizens; that should things collapse a quasi Civilian/U.S. Military government not the Obama administration should run America. This is mentioned only to note there is a strong wind blowing across America, that is howling enough Obama.

This LTC Terry Lakin, is not "highly decorated". in fact he has pretty few awards for being so long in service. He is a wuss of a coward that does not want to go back to Afghanistan... (I noted that he never went to Iraq.., sort of strange). And now you nuts wanting to believe anything to get rid of our President are using him as a puppet, providing him with a free attorney to get him off. The LTC has now missed deployment, which in a time of war, use to get you shot.
I have looked at my two copies of my birth certificate... one I found in my fathers personal records when he died. It is an old mimeograph copy in reverse black and white. I had to get another copy, a certified copy, for some reason I don't remember, in the late nineties, it is very different from the old one I found with my fathers records. The new one was obviously printed out on a computer (wow, funny how technology changes over the years, huh?), and has less detail info then the old one.
It is still a legal document that proves my live birth. So is Obama's. Jeeez, get a life you people. With so much bad and sorrow in the world, one would think you could find a better way to spend your time. If Larkin has a problem with being in the military, he should resign his commission and get out. Well, to late now, he has missed deployment in time of war, disobeyed orders, and is looking to get attention and seems happy to be someones puppet. He is a coward that should be court-martialed and sent to Kansas.

This petition will be presented to Senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin, to get them to act on behalf of Lt. Colonel Terrence Lakin. Lakin is currently being held in their jurisdiction and the judge that denied Colonel Lakin the evidence, to prove his case against Obama's ineligibility, says that this is a matter for Congress to decide, not the courts. Col. Lakin has every right to question the authority of his commanding officer. In fact as a military officer he has an obligation to not follow illegal orders. It is pure insanity that an individual wants to be president of the U.S. but refuses to prove he is qualified for the position. Nothing should be off the record about an individuals past when running for public office. Everything should be open to the public. Let the voters decide if it is relevant. Shelly; apparently you don't pay attention to the news. Obama and the progressives have been attempting to bypass the second amendment. They just aren't using the legislative process. The czars of Obama have quietly been invoking rules to limit you second amendment rights, ie. the EPA lead ban in ammunition. The recent inclusions in the UN gun trade treaty. If Obama is proven to be illegitimate, the ramifications are far reaching. How many people are complacent in the cover up? Certainly many politicians,Pelosi, Reid and many more. Govenmant cover ups- far reaching? Who caused the electronic raid on the banking system in Sept. 2008 that led to TARP and Obama's election? Where are the names of the people who dodged income taxes by using off shore accounts? Congress did a big investigation and spent lots of our own money to discover this info; where is it? Inquiring minds want to know. Wake up people, demand honesty from your government. If the gov. in not responsive to the people for whom they work, then the people have an Obligation to remove them. The easiest solution would be term limits. If not that, then stronger measures
should be considered.

We have been betrayed.
Lakin has betrayed us. He has broken his solemn word to us, and now is groveling before the feet of his accusers. He should have been willing to go to jail for 15 years if necessary, in order to deny the unlawful commands of the Great Usurper.
Was he false in the first place? Is he false now? He has betrayed the movement for Proof of Eligibility. If he had courage, he would have stood tall in the dock. Instead, he has crept small in the mock.
The movement has been seriously damaged. We must  must  find another military patriot willing to risk jail in order to deny the Usurper! If only Orly Taitz were a man... SHE would be willing to go to jail, at any cost. She is so brave. She is not all talk. She is all action.
We need more patriots, and less compatriots.

Here is another person that failed American Government 101. Article IV, Section 1 of the constitution clearly states the "Full Faith and Credit Clause" which states that all states should respect the acts of other states. The state of Hawaii has stated that President Obama was born in Hawaii and that should be enough to satisfy the other 49 states that would like their acts to be honored also. I am embarrassed because this coward is wearing the same patch I wore during the Vietnam War. If this is really how he feels, I seriously question the service he would render to African American soldiers he would operate on. It is best that he not be allowed to dishonor any of the brave Americans who are answering the call with honor and bravery.

First Lakin should have been given the max.Not even Fixed /Fox news will carry this story about the Presidents birth place. Soldiers do not do politics. Lakin made a political statement and he should pay the piper. He had his 20 plus years why was he hanging around? Besides, PRESIDENT Obama did not give the order to war, Bush did. As a former Infantryman who also trained others I am glad I never served with Lakin. Serve your time, write a book of lies and become rich like Palin and others. The President was born in Hi. and no one can prove otherwise. If I were in his shoes I would not dishonor myself by giving in to Birther nonsense. He can not prove anything to birthers .his sister has never said he was born anyother place but Hi.How would she know, he was born befor she was.
No matter it fits the birther need for attention. Please let us know the real reason Lakin or birthers do not want this President in office.

Many understand WHY you were being deployed and the fall-out that would ensue as you courageously stand for righteousness and founding principles. B. Hussien Obama held a beer summit for Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and should do NO LESS for a father, husband, surgeon who is being punished for standing for liberty and justice. An honorable man would end this immediately by eliminating the doubt in many American & foreign minds.

former ltc lakin refused a deployment order from his commanding officer, colonel gordon roberts, who recieved the medal of honor for gallant bravery in vietnam.
i'm a soldier who disagreed with the decision to invade iraq, and who spent a year serving in tikrit without letting my political beliefs come into play.
former ltc lakin has paid a heavy price, sacrificing his honor and his family's welfare to put his own political beliefs above his sworn duty. it seems a foolish decision, based on the way the issue of the president's legal citizenship has played out.
i hope he, and others who feel their patriotism leads them to such a vulnerability to whipped-up overblown false attacks on president obama will take a step back and take a wider view.
