Exclusive: Terrorists Join the Traffic Across the Mexican Border

The debate about how to make our porous southern border safe and how to deal with millions of illegal aliens in our midst has been dragged into the sunlight by Arizona’s new laws. The vast majority of Arizona voters applauds those laws, yet the Obama administration ignores them as well as the rising tide of American public opinion. Why is that? Could it be the politicians who now rule us need millions of new Democrat voters?
 
No wonder Secretary of State Hillary Clinton threatens to sue Arizona. No wonder Attorney General Eric Holder says not “if” but “when.” Democrat officials are acting so strangely because recent primaries show their party is in trouble in lots of places for lots of reasons and needs lots of new Democrat voters. So amnesty and giving the right to vote to 12 million illegal aliens is essential, even if it means bleeding millions of scarce dollars from state budgets for free healthcare and free education for illegal aliens. Even if it means battles with Mexican drug cartels and a crime wave along the border. Democrats know a quick amnesty and the vote are essential because once 12 million illegal Latinos are enfranchised they will vote Democrat, and the Democrat Party will rule forever.
 
Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer recognized that threat. Then she infuriated liberal Democrats yet again by signing another bill targeting ethnic studies and schools that demean non-Latino Americans. The law takes effect in December and prohibits courses designed for students of a single race, as well as courses and textbooks that teach resentment of another race. The United Nations jumped on the law before it was signed, of course, saying it would not promote respect for “ethnic and cultural diversity.” It seems the UN did not investigate “Chicanos Por La Causa,” a group claiming to be Arizona’s largest community development organization. But the Arizona state government investigated.
 
La Causa schools use textbooks like “Oppressed America,” one that quotes a Hispanic activist who says Chicanos should “kill the gringo.” Another textbook, “The Mexican American Heritage,” promotes establishment of Aztlan; five Southwestern states, it insists, should be returned to Mexican control. And as far as the Latino vote is concerned, La Causa students were treated to a speech by activist Dolores Huerta who said, “Republicans hate Latinos.”
 
Defending their safety and their budgets, at least ten states from Utah to Texas are now considering laws like those of Arizona. Meantime, while Mr. Holder and Ms. Clinton sue the entire country and do whatever else it takes to give the vote to illegal aliens, the Democrat congress tells us to look into our hearts, find compassion, and finally admit nothing can really be done about border defense or illegal aliens. But contrary to hopes of changers in the White House, Americans are learning what they are losing and what must be done. Americans also know, even if Speaker Pelosi calls illegal immigrants “American patriots,” that terrorists are streaming across the border along with those friendly lettuce-pickers and pool-cleaners.
 
A 2006 report by the Investigations subcommittee of the House Committee on Homeland Security, "A Line in the Sand: Confronting the threat at the Southwest Border ” (pdf) says the number of aliens other than Mexican (OTMs) who are illegally crossing our border is growing at an “alarming rate.” Border Patrol statistics show there were 30,147 OTMs arrested in 2003, 44,614 in 2004, 165,178 in 2005, and 108,025 in 2006. Of great importance in this flood of illegal aliens—from places other than Mexico—are those who come from thirty-five nations the Department of Homeland Security calls “special interest” countries. These are countries designated by intelligence agencies as those that export terrorists. From just 2001 to 2006, tens of thousands of illegal aliens have been arrested from “special interest” countries including: Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Jordan.
 
For example, seven Iraqis were arrested in Brownsville, Texas, in 2006. In August of 2006 an Afghani was found swimming the Rio Grande River near Hidalgo, Texas. And, besides finding prayer rugs and Korans along the Rio Grande, law officers find patches torn from jackets depicting airplanes flying into buildings. One shows a lion’s head with Arabic mottos. Words on these patches include “martyr,” and “way to immortality.”
 
 
Still not alarmed? Then think about OTMs who are members of Hizbollah, the deadly Iranian terror organization. They simply cross the Mexican border, embed themselves in the United States, and wait for orders from Iran. In 2005, Mahmoud Youssef Kourani pleaded guilty to providing material support to Hizbollah. How did he get here? He bribed a Mexican consular official in Lebanon for a travel visa to Mexico. The rest was easy. He just walked across the border and traveled to Dearborn, Michigan, a hotbed of Islamists. Incidentally, Kourani is a brother of Hizbollah’s chief of military operations in southern Lebanon.
 
Then there is Adnan el-Shukrijumah. Atlanta’s WSB-TV station explains that el-Shukrijumah, an al Qaeda terrorist, crossed the border, made threats against the United States, and now is wanted by the FBI. With a $5 million bounty on his head, he was last seen in Atlanta in 2004.
 
If the Border Patrol caught hundreds, then surely thousands of undetected terrorists have crossed our undefended Mexican border in the last ten years. The U.S. Army’s Southern Command reports that drug cartels are taking advantage of our “unregulated border” to create a serious security risk for the United States. Charging $15,000 to $60,000 for each “special interest” client, smuggling OTM illegal aliens into the United States is becoming another billion dollar business for the Mexican drug cartels.
 
Law enforcement and intelligence officers interviewed by The Washington Examiner said reports of foreign nationals with terrorist ties caught at the border will no longer be made available to the public. There are no more OTM reports. Covered by this recent blackout, the Department of Justice, Mr. Holder’s fiefdom, assures us that no known terrorists were arrested at the border in the last five years.
 
President Obama, Secretary Clinton, and Attorney General Holder—you must plug the hole in our southern border. You must stop giving illegal aliens a free ride. You must stop promoting amnesty in exchange for votes. You must protect us from terrorists flooding across our border. They are not coming here to vote for you.

Yes, the unsealable 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border has always been the soft underbelly of the U.S. for foreign powers including terrorists, and always will be, no matter who's president, so don't blame Obama. If we want to make the U.S. safe from foreign, especially Islamic terrorists in the 21st century, we need to
dissolve the current border and create a new one on the Mexican coasts. It can be done in just years with a bipartisan Congressional effort to implement my Megamerge Dissolution Solution of reorganizing failed Mexico as several new U.S. states with the consent of the Mexican people in exchange for full phased-in citizenship. The eyesore of the corrupt Mexican govt. will go poof along with the border, and all 414 million Americans can share the New World in peace and prosperity and defend our world island together. T.L.Winslow - surely you jest. Dissolve American border and merge with Mexico withy the border at the coast?!?!? What k8ind of idiocy is that? Who would you suggest to "rule" this new Marico? You "Pie-in-the-Sky" experts are so full of baloney that you would turn into empty skins with a really good, satisfying BM.

The only real solution is get tough with severe consequencies for those - foreign and domestic - people who violate the law.

TL Winslow, ARE YOU NUTS? Why would we want to make Mexico into states in a new USA? They have MORE than their share of problems. SECURE OUR BORDERS AND ENFORCE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOK! VIGOROUSLY! That takes care of the problem. GO Arizona!

Every citizen-resident must realize this also influences--YOU--and your children's future, wages, culture, language and the deterioration of our most sacred document--the US Constitution. by Leftist extremists. Not only is our government to blame, but the majority of the population remaining ignorant of the consequences. Its been premeditated attack on our constitutional right, namely that the US government in power is supposedly to protect us from invasion. IF THIS ISN'T AN INVASION, THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS? All political parties involved are guilty. So that's why the Grand Canyon state is taking it upon itself, to safeguard its citizens and legal residents. Incidentally, a pro-sovereignty citizen has constructed his own website, to Boycott the ultra-Liberal Socialist assemblymen in California. It's run by illegal alien admirers--who has cost the state a downgrading of its once high credit score.

Carefully look at the immigration grades of those perched in their high and mighty pedestals in Sacramento and throw them in the trash can. Many more will be following at the end of the year. www.BoycottSacramento.com. is the website to boycott the lawmakers whose policies have forced the state into insolvency. We as American's must clean up this mess we created ourselves, by discharging all city managers, councilors and elected offices. Governors and Mayors included!

The federal government has failed to build the border fence correctly? Only one fence has been partly completed, the second fence built as a prison chain-link fence adorned with nasty razor wire. Its' incredulous that the 2006 Secure fence act was under funded could not work, because of the interdiction by Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-TX, and co-sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn, (R-TX) Investigate the--REAL FENCE--as in San Diego, Sen. Harry Reid has doomed himself, because of his thrust for AMNESTY. Sharron Angle’s hard-line stance on the monolithic issue and her support for Arizona’s tough immigration law has the Tea Parties, pro-sovereignty members approval and for all her potential severe issues, she has not condemned America to Overpopulation and not shoving illegal immigration in our faces as Nevada's Reid.

The ACLU, a pro-illegal immigrant, anti-sovereignty law organization that taxpayers are supporting, is incessantly intimidating true Americans and permanent residents? YES! We can beat these creeps, when they threatened to sue small towns and cities, that have been overwhelmed by the illegal alien plight?

If hundreds of communities started to fight back--such as Fremont, Nebraska--by voting out Liberals hiding behind Democrats, who are tearing the fabric of this law abiding country apart. United cities, towns who want to stop this propagating invasion, should collectively vote against illegal aliens stealing jobs, the harboring foreign nationals, renting property and accessing welfare entitlements. The ACLU and other radical groups do not have the absolute legal representation in numbers or cash, to sue massive collectives of municipalities that have had enough of encroachment of illegal people who scorn our laws.

IDK, how come we have yet to hear of a terrorist arrested in the US that came here illegally over the Mexican border. I just don't understand how these terrorists came here illegally when it seems that it would be strategically sound for them to enter the US legally.

We voters must remember, come November and then again in 2012, the names of those elected figures from president to city officials and all those in between, who supported blanket amnesty and resisted the building of the fence. Note their names now, no matter the party or office held, and cast your votes against them.

As for Chet Nagle's piece on terrorism and the border, I say to him to keep your findings coming. I find each of your works accurate and throughly thought out. Many thanks!
