“As Dean of Harvard Law School, Elena Kagan banned military recruiters from campus because U.S. law said they couldn’t enlist homosexuals. Now, she invited the Saudis’ recruiters to promote their legal code, Sharia, which calls for homosexuals to be murdered and women to be treated like animals. If Kagan tolerates promoting the injustice of Sharia Law on the campus of Harvard, what kind of injustice will she tolerate in America during a lifetime on the Supreme Court?”
So asks a compelling and troubling web ad the Center for Security Policy has just launched. They have done this in the hope of ensuring - before the Senate Judiciary Committee votes on Elena Kagan’s nomination tomorrow, Tuesday - that Senators and the American public will be made aware of who this woman really is.
Let us be clear about her “lifetime” on the Supreme Court: the 50-year-old Kagan has never had experience as a judge. Consequently, as an unqualified member of the Supreme Court, Kagan could not retire for 40 years. During this time she could bring a singular lack of expertise – and as indicated above, a lack of judgment - to the proceedings for many decades.
It is bad enough that Ms. Kagan has tissue-thin experience for this vital appointment, it is far worse that she appears to be ignorant of a grim fact for which she must be held accountable: while she was Dean at Harvard Law School, Kagan enabled the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan to legitimize and insinuate Shariah Law into our country. If she was not ignorant of this fact and allowed the Saudis to recruit anyway, it is equally reprehensible, in fact even worse. Either way, it’s a lose/lose situation for both Kagan and the American people. These facts alone warrant that Ms. Kagan’s appointment proceedings be stopped immediately.
Evaluating Kagan is a conundrum. Part of me wants her judgment to be the culprit in facilitating Sharia Law because the idea that Kagan - with full knowledge of Sharia - would support its entry into a country like America is simply too shocking even to contemplate. It would go against every single principle upon which our country was founded , and for which it stands today. It would set back for our citizens the centuries of human rights progress we have made, irrespective of what this administration stubbornly believes to be true.
There is, however, a possibility that her goal is not laudable, as indicated by other activities of hers. During her tenure as Dean at Harvard Law, Kagan co-signed a letter -- along with Harold Koh -- urging the Senate not to adopt an amendment that would have protected the White House from lawsuits filed by foreign terrorists, charging that their "constitutional rights" had been violated by American law enforcement and intelligence authorities. In the eyes of most Americans, this point of view would be rejected out of hand as anti-American and a menace to our peaceful land, as evidenced by Americans’ strong negative response to Attorney General Eric Holder’s attempt to prosecute those valiant CIA forces who defend us at grave peril to their own lives.
But if it were really her judgment and not some nefarious goal related to the weakening of America, of which this administration has been accused, that’s a losing case too - since we need our justices to demonstrate impeccable thinking and flawless reasoning. But the sorry situation is this: evidence that her judgment is poor involves not only her enabling of Sharia Law in the U.S., but also the Solomon Amendment humiliation.
Kagan filed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to declare the Solomon Amendment unconstitutional. The Solomon Amendment denies federal funding to any university that “has a policy or practice … that either prohibits, or in effect prevents” military personnel “from gaining access to campuses, or access to students … on campuses, for purposes of military recruiting.” The Court, however, unanimously rejected her position, delivering a mortifying defeat to Kagan.
So, which is worse: poor judgment for a lifetime appointment that requires flawless judgment, or a Supreme Court Justice dedicated to the idea of dismantling the America we know and enabling our enemies to encroach upon our freedoms, thereby putting our lives in danger right here in our homeland? Isn’t this dismantling, after all, the goal of “progressives” (a term now used for liberals, as the term “liberal” has become understood and, consequently, distasteful to the American public)? Don’t they believe the Constitution is a “living, breathing document” that should be changed?
Although Kagan is a clear hypocrite - she hates "homophobia" in the military but thinks homophobic anti-women, anti-liberty, witch-slaughtering Saudi Arabia is just fine - this goes beyond hypocrisy. She has displayed either a total disregard for human rights as enshrined in our Constitution, or is at best intellectually and morally worthless. Thus it is clear that, even though we have been entertained by that down home image of Kagan playing softball, so all-American and charming, it is hardball she will play with the principles and values of our Constitution to the great dismay of every freedom-loving, God-fearing, common sense American, on either side of the aisle politically.
If ever there was a time for Americans to unite, it is now. To keep America Sharia-free, demand of your Congressional representatives that they do their jobs and uphold, protect and defend our Constitution. Thank Elena Kagan for her interest, but send her packing back to the arcane world of academia, not to the real world of the nation’s highest bench.
We deserve better.

I'll be praying that someone gets some sense in this government and administration and blocks this radical's nomination much less appointment to the Court. Obama is a closet islamist and your will be seeing everything done that can be legally done to appease the islamist ideology i this country for as long as he is in office. If there ever was a president who really, really needed to be held to only one term;'if it can't be shorter it is Obama! He'll be ecstatic if the mosque is built right in the faces of those Americans, patriots who lost their loved ones in the towers on 9/11!!!!! Death to islam and impeach Obama!

At nearly 70 years old, I am continually amazed at the dumbing down of America. I make the illustration that in this country we have two privileges; to drive and to vote. The difference in the two is that to drive one needs to pass a test.
All my life, and well before; America by and large has been very respectful of others' religous choices. With that mentality, we've tried to get along with Moslems. What many of us did not know is that Islam is far from a religion, and much more a political ideology.
All other religions, have assimilated, and have been respectful of eachother. Islam is out to convert or conquer all others. Shari'a, is but one facet of this.
Unless and until, Islam is willing to assimilate, is willing to accept my and your religous choice, is willing to be in the minority; I cannot hold any respect for them, and will do all possible to enlighten others to this ugly, hateful, political way of life that is, at best, a sect.
Americans must wake up! Watching a reality show does not prepare one for the real world. Drinking a Starbucks Latte will not fill one with knowledge.
Islam will KILL you!

Contacting equally reprehensible Congressional representatives who long ago sold out to special interest lobbyists seems futile, to me. But, I will contact them. Then I hope we will vote them OUT of office. When opposition to the inhumane treatments which Sharia law imposes AND opposition to Illegal Immigration is deemed racism by our elected officials, I would say we have elected officials with as much a dangerous mindset as Ms. Kagan. Thank you for this article, Carol and FSM.

Had GW actually been the Conservative he claimed, and dishonest Republicans like Hastert and Lott not sold out as corruptly as any Dumbocrap, and McLame not been nominated, this country would not now be saddled with Sotomayor or soon-to-be Kagin. It is the Republican Party that provided the environment that allowed the rise of Obama. They have not learned their lesson either.

Kagan is a real piece of work. Its hard to see how America raised these kind of socialists.
The inherent fallacy here is we are using our best Ivy League schools as a breeding ground for overthrowing America. Do you think Bush and Gore were superior intellects; no they were from a blue blood line. The actuallity is that our best and brightest students are being turned down in lieu of inbred and inferior children of elites, because they are not died in the wool members of the proletariat.

Kagan is just an Islam history ignoramus, not a conscious promoter of Sharia, which she probably doesn't know much about. Too bad, most Americans are still history ignoramuses when they can master all the key facts free anytime with the Historyscoper to better understand current events, Kagan included. Whoever this Carol lady is, she is without question, the most ignorant, prejudiced and stupid person I've ever read. She does not deserve to use up valuable oxygen that our precious animals could use to sustain themselves.

This article is incredibly poorly researched and this author has done a disservice to her readers. The Islamic Studies Program at Harvard University is not an advocate for adopting Sharia law in the United States, but simply a program to better understand Islam in general, with similar programs being found in colleges all over the country. Also, the specific aspects of Sharia law that have made any inroads into the United States, have been those regarding Sharia-compliant finance. These involve forms of banking and finance that prohibit charging interest on loans and prohibit making investments based primarily on risk, among other things. These are completely different from Sharia views on social issues, many of which is considered by Americans (myself included) as human rights violations. Kagan does not in any way support adopting those aspects of Sharia law that touch on social issues into this country's legal framework. You may consider it hypocritical for Kagan to deny military recruiters their own office at Harvard Law School because of don't ask, don't tell while an Islamic Studies Program was created at the undergraduate Harvard University. I do not consider it hypocritical because Kagan had no say in accepting that center (the Law School and Undergraduate College are administered by different bodies), but even if you do, it is a disingenuous move to stretch that to general support of Sharia law. I hope your readers do a little research on their own and realize the extent to which this article twists the facts.

Jack, Arun,
Get out of my country, please leave. This is the United States of America.
Sharia law is not wanted here in any form at all. If you think this story written by Carol is wrong than you are in flat denial of what is haapening to our great land. Sharia law should stay over seas and stay out of my country. Please leave and go live in a Sharia law based country, it sounds like you will be much happier.

Elena Kagen is not our only fear. I see our world changing drastically, due to stealth jihad; Islamists have determined they can get more with stealth than with bombs. So we have a president whose books explain what he's all about (we read them too late); an Imam Rauf who has already exposed his being pro-terrorist, pro-CAIR, pro-death to apostates, and certainly pro-sharia; and a mayor who's welcoming the mosque. Mayor Bloomberg's reply to my plea to stop the mosque, included these sentences: "Our Administration strongly supports the right of faith groups to open houses of worship, or community centers, in whatever location they choose, provided it complies with all applicable laws. New York has long been America's most tolerant and diverse City, welcoming the best, brightest, and hardest-working individuals from around the world – no matter their identity or beliefs." and "winning the war requires us not only to defeat our enemies, at home and abroad, but also to continue upholding the values that make America great."
He has no understanding of Sharia, Islamic history and conquest, subjugation, and intimidation for takeover. Also apparently the "local community board voted by an overwhelming margin (29-1) to endorse the project," although he added further steps are required before final approval. Apparently, there's still the dotted line to sign before revoking our rights to be protected from expansionist totalitarianism.

Its amazing the depth of hatred expressed in the name of "family security" on this site. Get real, turning over this country to arch conservatives and their supporters never made sense and never will make sense. Thank God for the Supreme Court of the United States, and nominees like Ms. Kagen.

Rich, or what ever your name is, let me ask you a question.
Do you want Sharia to become part of U.S law? I am a nut job because I don't want islamic law determining how America makes it's own laws and judgments? We have a condstitution for that. One more question Rich, if Obama could legally some how put in a maneuver in 2012 to keep the election from happening so he stays Presdident, how would you feel about that?

Deterministic systems, ideological symbols of abdication by man from his
natural role as earth's Choicemaker, inevitably degenerate into
collectivism; the negation of singularity, they become a conglomerate
plural-based system of measuring human value. Blunting an awareness of
diversity, blurring alternatives, and limiting the selective creative
process, they are self-relegated to a passive and circular regression.
Tampering with man's selective nature endangers his survival for it would
render him impotent and obsolete by denying the tools of variety,
individuality, perception, criteria, selectivity, and progress. Coercive
attempts produce revulsion, for such acts are contrary to an indeterminate
nature and nature's indeterminate off-spring, man the Choicemaker.
Until the oppressors discover that wisdom only just begins with a respectful
acknowledgment of The Creator, The Creation, and The Choicemaker, they will
be ever learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth. The rejection of
Creator-initiated standards relegates the mind of man to its own primitive,
empirical, and delimited devices. It is thus that the human intellect cannot
ascend and function at any level higher than the criteria by which it
perceives and measures values.
Additionally, such rejection of transcendent criteria self-denies man the
vision and foresight essential to decision-making for survival and
progression. He is left, instead, with the redundant wreckage of expensive
hind sight, including human institutions characterized by averages,
mediocrity, and regression.
Humanism, mired in the circular and mundane egocentric predicament, is
ill-equipped to produce transcendent criteria. Evidenced by those who do not
perceive superiority and thus find themselves beset by the shifting winds of
the carnal-ego; i.e., moods, feelings, desires, appetites, etc., the mind
becomes subordinate: a mere device for excuse-making and rationalizing
self-justification.
The carnal-ego rejects criteria and self-discipline for such instruments are
tools of the mind and the attitude. The appetites of the flesh have no need
of standards for at the point of contention standards are perceived as
alien, restrictive, and inhibiting. Yet, the very survival of our physical
nature itself depends upon a maintained sovereignty of the mind and of the
spirit.
