Muslims Fight Anti-Sharia Legislation on Capitol Hill, While Others Teach Sharia in America

by CHRISTOPHER LOGAN June 21, 2011

Yesterday was the day the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) went to Capitol Hill, to speak out against anti-Sharia legislation. What I also noticed yesterday is that the New Jersey branch of the AlMaghrib Institute is now signing up students to teach them about Sharia Law!

AlMaghrib is not the only organization in America teaching Sharia Law. Some others are the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), and Zaytuna College, a Sharia college which is located in Berkeley California. Besides those three examples are the Mosques in America that are preaching for Sharia.

Learning about the characteristics and manners of the person we love the most and to see it being implemented right in front of us by our Shayke Yasir Birjas was something that can not be described.

The history of the development of Islamic law begins with the revelation of Qur’an. Qur’an is not a code of law but it contains several legal principles and injections dealing with the following subjects: ibadat (rituals), war and peace, marriage divorce, successions, commercial transactions, and penal laws.

“[Sh. Yasir Birjas] provided all types of learning materials. He was very interesting. We felt as though we were in a movie. SubhanAllah. As a professional teacher, I was amazed as to how he utilized every teaching technique and kept us wanting more and more

I know… there is no threat of Sharia in America. Muslims in America are different from Muslims everywhere else... But if that is so, why are Muslims in America fighting anti-Sharia bills, and teaching Sharia here?

To make matters worse, this course is being taught at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). The school’s details are here.

'People really need this much hand-holding?': Government reminds citizens to pay their premiums

April 19, 2014  06:52 PM

Now that Obamacare’s open enrollment period has passed, there’s just one other tiny detail nagging at those millions of new sign-ups — paying their premiums. The administration’s being awfully quiet about how many enrollees have actually paid their first premium, but they have sent out a subtle reminder via Twitter that Obamacare isn’t free after all. If […]

President Clinton warned: 'The right wing has seized upon the internet'

April 18, 2014  08:05 PM

In the mid-’90s, President Bill Clinton received a report about the Internet, or as the report puts it, the “Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce.” In particular, the report warns of the growing influence of the GOP online: The internet has become one of the major and most dynamic modes of communication. The internet can link people, groups and […]
