This fight has been some three years coming, since ISIS took the city in 2014 from the Syrian army. The assault comes none too soon for us and others, considering past and recent ISIS-related terrorist attacks at home and abroad.

The narrow GOP majority in the Senate is not just threatened by Democrat filibusters. There are more than enough Republicans suffering from the malignant pre-condition of libertarian isolationism to flip the balance in the chamber when national security issues are at stake.

“The coalition does not seek to fight Syrian regime, Russian or pro-regime forces partnered with them, but will not hesitate to defend coalition or partner forces from any threat.”

Tillerson was questioned by Texas State Rep. Michael McCaul about whether he shared concerns with National Security Secretary John Kelly regarding the connection between “criminal networks and terrorist networks.”

The memorandum written by former Director Comey memorializing his meeting and conversation with President Trump regarding the FBI’s investigation of potential Russian interference in the 2016 election. For purposes of clarification, this memorandum was reportedly written on or about February 13, 2017 and is the subject of a NYT article … dated May 16, 2017.

Allow me to translate: The investigators have no evidence of Trump campaign coordination with Russia and, if it is possible, they have even less cause to believe there was a bribe, and less still to believe the bribe was conveyed in a deceptive manner that amounted to a felony money-laundering violation.

"This is not an opportunity to talk about difficult matters privately or in a closed environment. This is a circus. It's a national disgrace..."

It could have been so much worse, said Congressman Roger Williams. It would have been a massacre and many Republicans would have had to be replaced.

Now as you know, I’m a retired Army Soldier who’s been in combat zones and faced enemy fire. I was dressing in peace in my home in Dallas. And then the news report came: one of my former colleagues, Rep. Steve Scalise had been shot.

It appears that Mueller has realized that the investigation he has been chosen to oversee is a dead end. As a result, he is moving past investigating the possibility of collusion during last year’s presidential election between Trump and/or his associates and people with ties to the Russian government.

The bribery scheme carried out by several Latin American governments and the Brazilian construction company “Oderbrecht” has made headlines.

Maybe Trump objected to the fraudulent notion, which Comey led the world to believe, that Trump was under investigation for collusion.

During our 240-year history, several presidents have undertaken U.S. foreign policy initiatives that today bear their names.

“This Russian investigation has gone nowhere, so they’re coming up with new charges,” said Jay Sekulow, one of President Trump’s attorneys.

Attorney Cheryl Nunez, who represents two [muiltated] children, a girl 11 and a boy 5, who are the kids of Dr. Jumana Nagarwala and her husband told a Juvenile Court Judge that the Mosque they all attend paid for Female Genital Mutilation procedures on girls.

In a remarkable interview, Rep. Bishop described how many more of those attending the practice would have been shot by the gunman had not a Capitol policeman put himself in the line of fire to shoot back.

Oddly, The Times ignores the fact that the shooter posted stories on a routine basis from outlets that endorsed Hillary Clinton. But The Times likes Clinton and not Bernie, so Sanders must be smeared.

The conventional wisdom out of Washington is that the president is a political neophyte stumbling from one crisis to another. But when it comes to legal battles, Mr. Trump is an experienced combatant.

Washington’s blabocracy is endangering our national security.

ISIS has claimed its killers staged the two attacks in Tehran on symbolically powerful targets: the tomb of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khomeini, and the “parliament” building.

In short, Congress is investigating the wrong thing.

More than anything else, the president offered assurance that the U.S. stands behind its allies. When, during the Obama presidency, President al Sisi noted that “I love America, but America doesn’t love me,” he meant the U.S. was an unreliable ally that makes promises, but doesn’t follow through.
